It's the same thing here, lots of sardinhas, churrasco, beer and music. Also plastic hammers to hit random people in the head, hot air baloons and lots of fireworks. Then a walk to the beach to see the sunrise at the end of the night.
As for the football, would be great news to see Depor back but I really dislike the playoff concept at the end of the season. Would be weird to see them finish 6th and then go up.

In the Alicante region it was all about the hogueras, fire jumping, and of course the parades (of stuff you set fire to!)

I must admit I haven't paid much attention to Liga 2 for a while so I was shocked to see Mallorca in the playoffs. I thought they were more likely to go bankrupt (again) than get back in La Liga.

Yes, It's a bit unfair but they need something to keep the competition alive,with 5 or 6 teams involved.
