It'll be a tough game for Rio, but hopefully a platform to show people that all this bollocks idn't affecting him. I hope he has a blinding game.

I'm getting pretty excited about this weekend.

Leeds Away.. Come On!!

Arsenal Chelsea straight after!! That game's a win win for us. The best ones! Plus we get to laugh at Monkey Man again

I know loads of satellite stations are televising the match - including Art and Canal - does anyone know of any London pubs that are showing United v Leeds or Arsenal v Chelsea??

my team

---------------Howard----------------

Gaz-----------Rio-------Silv-------Oshea

------------DJ-DJ-----Keano----------

Ronnie-----------Scholes----------Giggs

------------------RVN----------------

If we are winning 2 - 0 by half time then

P NEV for Keano
Fletcher for Giggs (moving Ronaldo on the left)
Forlan for RVN

2-0 at ht is not comfortable enough to go making wholesale changes. Surely as a manager you know that, dev.

And what Phil has done to be benched I dont know.

So Leeds Utd are there for the picking right??? No wonder we are called arrogant Mancs!

I predict Leeds 0 - Man Utd 5

Good tricky game to look forward to today, so Id stick with the one which has done well in the last 2 outtings.

-----------Howard-------------
--Gazza--Rio--Mickey--O'Shea--
--------Keane--Phizza----------
--Fletch-----Scholes-----Giggs--
--------------Ruud--------------

Fletch is a rising star, hes done nothing wrong in the last 2 matches so he has to start, same with phill, playing too well to be droped, the rest pick them selves. Perhaps a spot on the bench for Nardiello given his excellent reserve team form.

a tight game, leeds 4 - 1, johnson 3 :wenger: robinson 1

Todays team, according to Sky:

Howard
Gaz, Rio, Silver, Fortune
Fletcher, Keano, Phizza, Ronaldo
Scholes
Van Nistelrooy

Subs: Carroll, O'Shea, Butt, Djemba*2, Forlan

No Giggs!

fecking pissed not one chanel showing the game here in Australia
feck the Rugby union

No Giggs. Wonder why.

Ian Harte is missing for Leeds as he serves the second game of a three-match ban, while James Milner replaces the suspended Jody Morris.

Cristiano Ronaldo is restored to the Manchester United side due to Ryan Giggs' illness, while former Leeds defender Rio Ferdinand is named in the starting line-up.

Leeds: Robinson, Kelly, Camara, Matteo, Olembe, Pennant, Batty, Seth Johnson, Milner, Viduka, Smith. Subs: Carson, Bridges, Sakho, Roque Junior, Lennon.

Man Utd: Howard, Gary Neville, Ferdinand, Silvestre, Fortune, Fletcher, Keane, Phil Neville, Ronaldo, Scholes, van Nistelrooy. Subs: Carroll, Butt, Djemba-Djemba, Forlan, O'Shea.

Referee: G Poll (Hertfordshire)

ugly...

Terrible first half. No movement.

We're defending well though, as always. I thought Fortune was our best player until he got injured. Phizza too are having a good match.

Fletcher is struggling, started badly and has lost the ball far to many times for my liking.

Ronaldo started off with a couple of dives but has improved as the half has moved on.

And when something is happening (though not much has actually happened), make no mistake, Scholes is involved.

Bit stale. I knew it would be tight but we should have created more chances. Apart from Ruud's header, we have not looked like scoring. The wingers are getting caught in possession too frequently. Batty is playing the game of his life. Otherwise, it's just us attacking, losing the ball and then winning it back and start all over.

Oh, so it was you that was wasting all the bandwidth. I was watching it so clear for about 30 minutes until the picture got all blocky. So you made it unclear and it kept stuttering.

Sorry pal...

I need a bit of educating with all this space invaders stuff.

I think broadband may be needed.

thanks anyways, unfortunately no broadband here........

Ronaldo hits the woodwork with a shot. It looks like its one of those days when the ball just doesn't go in!!.

Looks like Leeds want just a little bit more than us. They don't look like scoring tho, I see this one ending 0-0 :(

way too few, in my opinion. don't be so conservative. :smirk:

Game over.

Good win, nothing spectacular. Found it hard against a defensive minded Leeds who obviously played for the draw.

Could/should have had one or two more. United was by far the best side and deserved the points.

Great win! It shows our character and determination. Especially captain Keano, he is the model of everyone! :D

0-1 Keano!!!

I see you have the same magic touch that I do. :D

Shite match, good result. This is one to just be happy with the three points and forget about the rest.

Excellent result against a very determined leeds side, this is where Keano is so important, no matter how much effort they put in, he'll put in 10% more.

Yes, and lets not forget Ruud winning the ball and a great cross by Gaz. :D

So we're top now, hopefully we'll still be top when Arse has played Chelski.

Sloppy passes. Felt like a practice game. Leeds obviously were more intent on the draw. We deserved it just cause we came to win the match. Perhaps the Rio matter affected the rest of the team more than Rio. He made the difficult look easy. Whole defence looked solid. Fletcher is still getting used to his team mates. That was a definite penalty for CR7. Ruud was great again...and Keano scoring was very deserved for all he did. Hope Fortune is not too badly injured. He was magnificent. Overall a good workman performance for the kind of win that wins championships. But IMO United have only played to their potential in one match so far...against Newcastle....pure class.
Now lets hope for stalemate in the Arsenal Chelsea match.

What happened to Fortune because I couldn't see or hear the match? damn Sky.
