Let's all Laugh at England

Completely with you.

I could understand it if these were Scottish fans or Welsh fans - where there is healthy rivalry. But people from further afield, the keyboard warriors in different time zones - I just don’t understand? Utd are so very proud of the English players we have brought through the ranks over the years, we embrace the Charltons, the Neville’s the Rashford’s etc - we are a proud English club.

So for anyone who claims to be a supporter of Utd, who hates England is quite frankly very strange. Why don’t they just go and support someone else, it’s not like they get out of their armchairs and go to OT.

I support whomever I want and make fun of any team I choose. feck off with the 'I can't understand this' bullshit.

But hard luck today

Dear me, son. Do yourself a favor and go to bed.

What?

fecking hell its a laugh at England thread. I'm allowed to have a few digs back. I thought that was the point of the thread? Especially when it's Scottish and Irish fans laughing, there's plenty of aummunition to hit back with

Which England won’t, sunshine
If you were intelligent enough to follow the conversation you might get more out of this place

Here, let me walk you through how these things work:

In reply to my comment: Laugh all you want … if you're not Croatian or French then you are LOSERS :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Some Scottish joker wrote: I believe the only losers tonight were England ??
HE WAS CORRECT, to which I replied: Gotta be in it to win it laddy ;)

And you, funny fella that you are wrote: Which England won’t, sunshine

In the context of the thread that doesn't even make sense

I point out to a Scottish person that at least we were in the semi final that we just lost and you (an Irish person) feel you need to add that England can't win the World Cup.

I'm glad that this means so much to you!

Why do people take 'It's coming home' so seriously anyway? It's just a silly, catchy song about hoping for the best, despite regularly being disappointed.
The song was of course a satire. The phrase not really, and a lot of people were using it seriously. I mean after every match (especially the last two) the interviewer was asking Southgate 'Is it coming home'? That definitely wasn't 'Are we shit and going to lose', but it was 'Are we going to win the world cup'.

It was "have we got a chance Gareth?"

I acknowledge we’re utter shite. I make no qualms about that. Difference is, I don’t make out we are good unlike the English

Supporting and believing in your national team is different to thinking your good. Infact, no one expected anything from this team and they did us proud. Banter is banter but shit opinons are shit opinons

ITS COMING HOME...
ITS COMING HOM..
ITS COMING HO..
ITS COMI..
ITS CO..
ITS..
WE ARE ..
WE ARE GOI..
WE ARE GOING..
WE ARE GOING HOME

Its the phone

Dude you are still reading way to much into all that it's coming home nonsense.

And reading waaaay too much into bullshit media stuff too ;)

Yeah but I mean there's nothing really wrong with that is there? I wouldn't expect it to turn me against a country for having hope or asking their coach if they can do it. Every country hopes for the best and I certainly don't think England fans are more antagonisingly optimistic than anyone else.

Who’s making out we’re good though? It’s widely known we were massive underdogs and optimism has never been lower before the tournament began, I mean England had just 3k fans over in Russia.

No doubt optimism rose over the last week or so but fecking hell how dare we celebrate making a World Cup semi and getting within touching distance of the final.

Bendtner scored

fecking Bendtner
:nono: That's Lord Bendtner to you mere mortals!

It's not the English team people laugh at.

It's posters like you.

Keep crying. This is fun.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Well, well, well. The first sniff of a match that actually mattered versus a quality opponent and the English lose.:lol:

Imagine trying to win the WC with Henderson as a starting midfielder.

What an absolute joke of a side. The kind draw flattered this bunch and their deluded fan base and press lapped it up.

Pathetic

The media for one and some beyond tedious fans in that thread about England having an easy run.

I actually face palmed in the pub earlier around the 55th time of a bunch of knobs chanting it.

I mean a jokes a joke, but ffs. I hated the English at that point
Yeah, I think it is an awful song which while started as a joke 20 years ago, this time kind of became annoying and the more progress England was making, the more serious it became (for both sides).

Still better than God save the precious Queen though.

Wow you've been holding that back.

I literally know no Irish fans that rate this current side ffs

You see, this isn't fair. Your team is shite and you're not going to qualify for a major tournament for many many years. The problem is, you Irish are perfectly in agreement with this assessment, which gives us English lads nothing to throw at you. Fecking unfair if you ask me.

I'm never drinking a pint of Guinness again!

A joke of a side that played beyond their ability levels and reached a world cup semi-final.

England's midfield were never going to cope with Croatia's, and neither were they trying to. They resorted to the long ball to bypass trying to pass through them.

Jokes of a side are Germany, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, etc, etc, who played well below their ability levels.

Great effort from a decent international team.
