Lille v Man Utd

I wouldn't change anything for around 15 mins..see if the half time talk works..then put on saha and Park for the pace and see if we can improve our final ball..or get lucky
 
I thought it was a clear penalty after the Lille player tackled Rooney, mainly because the tackle was of a Rugby variety.
 
Apparently van der Sar has been massively bothered by the tear gas the idiot frog police threw at United supporters, were saying he'd perhaps have to come off. plain
 
Thought the first 20 mins of the game was awful with both sides poor. United got their act together a bit for the rest of the half and started getting some action up front. But Lille are a strong defensive unit. Very hard to break down. They're keeping it tight and hoping to catch United on the break.

If the game continues to be this scrappy then I think 0-0 is the most likely result. But theres always the chance Lille will get a lucky break. I really would not like to see Lille coming back to OT with a lead to defend. They are the type of team that could frustrate United.
 
Boring first half, the best chance for either side was probably Ronaldo's shot blocked by Debuchy and Odemwingie's lack of confidence to turn and shoot.

The ref's too strict, brandishing so many yellow cards for fouls which were probably only issued a warning in the Premiership.
 
We shouldn't play Saha here. He'll be falling down as he walk, never mind when he's trying to shoot or dribble.
 
just heard from radio, some united fans who have tickets cant get into the stadium?. anyone know what happended?

The line was poor so they cut it short and told him to call back at FT. However he said that he was struggling to talk because the tear gas. And there was only one gate open, compared it to the 80s. Said he would make a complaint to somebody, didn't know who yet.

Rooney should have finished it. Some great play at the start of this half
