Done well to stop them scoring, good defending, plenty of spirit and battle, just not quite enough attacking threat and certainly not enough possession.

Crap match so far, hopefully the midfield will feed the strikers more, because at times (even during counter attacking situations) there's a huge gap inbetween them.
 
Started well, probably to hard, the lad got tired after in the 30th due to this. totally expected and it will happen when you go out as hard as they did today.

They are not very good. If we had Keane or Butt playing I think that we would roll them over. ;)

United are playing well

on paper they should hammer our depleted side but the hunger and determination is back

Compare this to last seasons effort at Unfilled
 
I can see Liverpool scoring in the second half, so I think we really need to try and grab a goal too. Midfield hasn't linked well with the strikers, too much space between them and Giggs has been anonymous, hopefully Alex will get him going for the second half. I can't see how we can change the team to improve it. I just hope Ole's thigh is ok as he's been our main threat.
 
We had a decent opening 25, but we let it go later on in the half when we should have attacked em. Did anyone else see ole struggling with his calf or something in the last 5 before ht?

I'm not sure that is a rule but if it was then he's definitely onside. I think it was level, hard to call maybe, but the attacker should be given the benefit of the doubt. It was a great run and sweet pass from Forlan.

He seemed to injure his thigh during an attempt on goal, he was rubbing it quite a bit afterwards, seems to have strained it. <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

This is a slight problem today, too many out. Liverpool will put in 2 reserves who can make a difference and heskey who will reduce that difference somewhat. So the last 20 minutes of the game today can be one way traffic really. Need to get it done at the start of this half because we won't get much power from the bench.
