Fact of life. In order of priority, its CL' PL, FA and waaaaaaay behind is the worthie. We're one of few already qualified for the CL, second in the PL and taken 3 points off L/pool, Arse, Newc., Chelsea. We've fecked up against the likes of bolton, city etc. unfortunately and we're still second. We lost the worthie, so what!

Fergie has the belief that he manages for Europe - top priority. As long as we're in the top 3/4 in the PL, I reckon its good enough for him. I don't remember any 'new dawns' from anyone winning the worthie cup.
 
It was disappointing today but not a disaster. It only hurts really because it's Liverpool. First goal against a team that plays like Liverpool is important. They got it with a deflected shot from miles out. Maybe Beckham should have been closer but they got the luck. Second half we created a lot of chances and either we missed, shot right at the keeper or Dudek pulled off the occasional save. The more important game today was Arse vs Charlton - not a suprising result. We regroup for Leeds on Wednesday. Life goes on. What I just don't understand about today is fergie leaving silvestre on when he was obviously not totally fit and making silly mistakes all over the place and not bringing on O'shea!!!. Well as usual giggs was not in the match and beckham was not good either.

I don't think Rio had a great game, but you're right about today - but I was meaning generally, as I think Sylvestre has had a better season than Rio.

Not one of those goals we scored against Juve came from a move that you could desribe as typical British football. Liverpool play that. Gigs and Verón won that game in the attacking sense, with Keane winning it at the back.

Stick him in there and let Butt finally take his place, and let Verón boss the midfield!

Sad, but Keane is finished in midfield as far as I can see. It's time to look forward.

I've been away for a while, so you'll excuse me if i go on a bit.

Ok we lost the final, never mind life goes on. The only difference between the teams was that Dudek made some great saves. To be honest we could have still been playing now and not scored. One of those day. I can't remember the last time Scholes had so many shot on target and not score. C'est la vie.

I agree with those who say that Keanes day in midfield are drawing to a close. Setting sentiment aside, would we want to drop any of our centre backs to accommodate Keano. We have the quickest defense in the league. It is young and one that has years together. Keane's pace has all but gone and we all remember the problems it caused when Larry was in there.

In the league in any case. Against the like of Henry, Owen, Bellamy, Rooney etc you need pace and at the moment we have that. We can only admire what Keane has acheived but maybe his time is coming to an end. The future of our midfield is Butt and Seba, the future of our centre back is Rio and Wes/Mickey. Keane needs to get his coaching qualifications and start to take more of a back seat after this season is over. He is someone who I want to stay within the setup but i don't want to get nostalgic. We have to mobe forward, Arsenal has raised the level in the league and we must match that. Arsenal have been the best league team this season and it is no mistake that they are 8 points clear, they have had one bad month but apart from that they haven't dropped points against lesser quality teams like Utd and the rest of the Premiership have done.

Maybe i will be proved wrong but I think Keanes time in the starting line up is coming to a close. This may anger some of the Keane die hards in here but we need to be realistic. Remember the famous saying "You'll never win anything with kids." We proved them wrong once and now it's time to do it again.
