Dear god, how can anyone fault DDG for this? For him being skinnier than VVD? It was a clear foul on DDG. As a keeper, that’s a tough ball to punch away as you have to swat at it to create enough force to expel the ball. You have to trust the center official to give you a foul if an opposing player barges into you. About the only thing DDG did wrong was to not use a knee for protection & to ward off VVD, but not cleanly handling the ball was due to a larger player clearly & knowingly crashing into him. There’s an argument for a caution on VVD.
