Liverpool

IWTK has said Liverpool played poorly and relied on bully boy tactics and a homer ref to win. Now you're saying we played well and looked like a good team? I'm confused. Did we win a poor game or did we raise our game to beat the champions?

Where?? This is all my posts in this thread of more than a few irrelevant words. I never once said you played poorly or didn't deserve to win. In fact several times I said United didn't deserve to win which is a complete contradiction to your above point.

All I've said time after time is that you have a team full of cnuts, managed by a cnut and supported by and large by cnuts. I think we can all agree on that.

Liverpool have now managed to assemble a first eleven which are all admirably capable of behaving like total cnuts on the football field, be it all of Suarez's antics, your defence line trying to hurt players or get players sent off by simulating things that didn't happen, your new yong exciting continental players all excellent at waving imaginary cards, or Sturridge who scored a great goal and preceded to dive like feck every time the ball went near him for the rest of the game. Lucas and Gerrard who also spend more time trying to get in the refs ears than playing football.

Honestly you're a team that are so easy to hate. Complete Travellers who play the game totally the wrong way. If this new style is Rodgers lasting one then the nice football we see tiny glimpses off now and seen a lot of at Swansea will be overshadowed.

Nah, just thought you were horrible. Tried every little tactic in the book and played like a small time side sitting back defending a goal lead at home for pretty much 90 minutes.
Nah, I'm not moaning about anything you legitimately done or I didn't say that you didn't deserve to win the game. I'm just saying that if I supported a club with title winning/top 4 aspirations and they sat back defending, wasting time and diving for 90 minutes at home I'd be pissed off. Well done, you won the game but you also played like a total team of small time cnuts with the antics of your players which was the only point I was making. You can gloss over that all you want but it's a reality, you game raise against us and that says it all.

Again, I'm not saying that we played well or got anywhere near deserving to win, I'm saying that the tactics employed by Liverpool were small time. Defending so deeply at home, waving imaginary cards, rough housing players, diving, crowding the ref all game, time wasting and I don't know what the feck was going on with Skyrtel trying to pretend RvP had done something to him in an effort to get him sent off? Sorry but if that's not small time for a club who if you believe them think they have a starting eleven every bit as good as or better than ours. We're told that all the time so why do they have to resort to that. Surely Brenton's pass and move football would have been good enough.

Key words B.

It's not the playing defensively that I have particularly been moaning about, but you, al and the other tube seem to have decided to ignore that completely. It was to say your players and staff are all cnuts.

Your question...no. It just looks like they are trying harder against you because they have to play full-on for 90 mins against a team of very good players. You switch off for a minute and you could be in trouble. Norwich don't have players all over the pitch who can hurt you in a few seconds.

I can assure you that the feeling is mutual in relation to your players. I don't think I've seen a face I'd rather punch more, since Neville retired, than Van Persie's last weekend. He's a dirty hateful toerag.

Now, back on to the pressing issue. Losing against teams that try to win. What's that all about? :p

What was his biggest offence? A yellow card tackle for which he was booked and then had your two centre halfs at him all game trying to get a reaction out of him and trying to con the ref into thinking they did. Clearly conned you anyway.

Ha. That's one way to look at it.

One way or 'the way'? What else did he do? I'll admit I was having a few jars during the game but I don't remember him at anything else other than being on the receiving end. I'd watch the game back again but I fear I may punch myself in the face for putting myself through it so I won't/

Why not play full-on for 90 minutes against every team?

You never said we didn't deserve the win but I said we played poorly and won anyway. Lance is saying we raised our game to beat you. Now from your posts you say we were horrible and ultra defensive which are not terms you would use to describe a team that has played well. My argument would be that we didnt raise our game at all and that we won a poor game overall.

Centre halves trying to wind up centre forward shocker. Sure I do that every weekend! First thing to do is to go through the striker on the first ball. Let him know you're there!

It seems to be lost on Grinner that if they did play that way against the Norwich's then all those draws they had against shit teams for the past few years would have been wins. It's nothing to do with having to play like maniacs because we're the champs it's because they see this as their biggest game of the year and therefore play like their lives depend on it. Any other explanation is bullshit.

I think you are confusing game raising and playing well. You played horseshit too, but you ran like feck all game to stop us playing. That's the game raising aspect I'm referring too. The onus was on us to break you down which we couldn't do as a result of your game raising.

Are you implying that United didn't try as hard as Liverpool on Sunday then?

Playing full-on also means reacting to the forward play of the opposition. If the forward play of Norwich isn't very dynamic then you don't have to play full-on yourself.

Then why were Liverpool shipping so many late equalisers against the teams like Norwich over the past few years?

I would argue that, given their last 3 league finishes, Liverpool players can't afford to pick and choose which teams they decide to play full on against.

One thing is for certain, they will ALWAYS play full on against United, regardless.

I'm saying that we didn't have to run like maniacs because we had much more possession. Not saying we didn't try as hard, we tried to break you down using football but were unable due in no small part to the huge effort your players put in for their cup final and in no small part to the cuntyness of your boys too.

It's nothing to do with putting in a tackle that I'm complaining about, it was the attempts to con the ref. I was also asking the question what did RvP do to make him so hated by M&M on Sunday. He still didn't answer though.

RvP put in a late challenge on Agger on the byline at the end of the first half. It was a yellow card tackle. He then lost it a little when he jumped with Skrtel. There were flailing arms but RvP seemed to take exception to a clumsy enough challenge by Skrtel but nothing too serious. I think he was still wound up after the Agger incident. It was heated but handbags too. Ghaliboy may have a few gifs of it. He could have seen it differently.

I just didnt see the cuntyness you describe. Yes both sets of players pushed boundaries as far as possible but the game was relatively tame especially comapred to a few I remember recently. So you commend the effort of our players. Fair enough I'll take that.

You could almost say I applaud how they raised their game for the occasion. ;)

Edit: Oh and I only realised today that you were a Pool fan.

haha and I keep it on the QT. It's been a tough 20 odd years being a Dub and a Pool fan. The important pots have been hard to come by!

whereas for united, coming to Anfield is just another day at the office.

I didn't answer because it's not a discussion I wish to take part in. It's your team vs my team tit-for-tat bollocks. Both sides will see it differently and you end up going round in circles so best not to get involved beyond offering my opinion which I did.

That was fair enough but I just don't see what he did other than one tackle that could make him such a stand out hate figure that game. Don't get me wrong, RvP was always a cnut when he played against us so I get he has the odd flailing elbow but I genuinely wanted to know if I missed something.

Well if it helps I didn't see any of the stuff you're complaining about either. I think it's medically referred to as bias or rose tinted specs.

9 pages of Liverpool are game raising c**ts, yet 9 pages of how they played like shit. Which one is it?

We raised our game to only be shit, instead of utter shit.

This was apparently good enough to beat United.

Another simpleton who doesn't know how to read and seemingly doesn't know what the expression 'game raising' means.

You played zero football but ran your heads off to stop us plying football. This was a football much so you played shit football. If it was a running around and acting like cnuts competition I'd be full of praise.

....

Zero football? I hate to break this to you, but stopping the other team from playing well is part of football .... as is scoring and stopping the other team from doing the same.

Quit whining and take the loss on the chin.

Again, I didn't come into the thread to complain about losing and I haven't done so. I came into this thread to say Liverpool are cnuts. I was replying to njred's stupid post and now I'm replying to your stupid post. United didn't do enough to win the game and I said that time and time again so not sure how that's not taking the loss on the chin. Maybe read what's actually being said rather than saying people are whining when they are not.

Just to clarify - I have yet to hear one United supporter claim we should have won.

But the result has obviously accentuated your bitterness though.

Am I right ?

I don't believe it works that way. Otherwise, you would have exploded into a mushroom cloud of bitterness by now.

We're all different mate. If I was a bitter sort of person I wouldn't have been able to have posted on a Manchester United forum for the past 6 years, seeing United win countless league titles & other trophies, without 'exploding into a mushroom cloud of bitterness'

Some people can't even watch their side lose a match without venting their spleen at the side responsible for causing such an atrocity.
