Didn't read like a minority yesterday. If you'd not done anything wrong (or at least deemed so by others) you wouldn't need to delete it. They obviously felt like they'd offended enough people for it to be worth deleting.

Dude, anyone who was complaining about it in a serious manner was just using it to have a pop at Liverpool or subconsciously because of a hate for Liverpool. Sure it was tacky, but most things like that are. People are far too cynical these days imho.

It's not that I was offended by it; I wasn't. It was more like when someone embarrasses themselves for the umpteenth time, and you just look upon them with pity. It was tactless, but then, so is everything they do.
 
I just don't think it was that bad and if the last few pages will tell you anything it's that I think they're all cnuts.

I'm a fair and reasonable guy and I thought it was shit. I'd have thought the same if United had done it. I think it was the inclusion of fecking Liver birds propping up the towers and making the towers red which made it crass and tacky.

I'd have cringed the same if united had done it and put Red Devils either side of the towers. If you disagree then that's your right, but my opinion was that it was badly thought out and badly implemented eve if the sentiment was well intended.

Coutinho ruled out until the end of October with a shoulder problem. He has been one of their better players so will be a big loss for them. For the Liverpool fans here who do you guys reckon will play in his place?

Suarez should be back soon so that should help but maybe not so much on the creative front.
 
I see problems emerging when Suarez steps back into that team. Sturridge has loved being the main man, and being the cocky shite he is, will not want to play second fiddle to a guy who was openly angling for a move all summer.

Sturridge will be fine. If he keeps scoring then he'll be the darling of the Kop. A HUGE amount of them are sick and tired of Suarez so the sheen has gone off there.

A few options available, I think Suarez will probably fit in there when he is back.

He could also compensate for the lack of Coutinho by playing Moses and Sterling on either flank or at least a change in formation with Henderson or Allen (assuming he is fit) playing further forward.

Personally I would for the next game at least give Luis Alberto a chance, he scored a hat trick last night for the U21 side (watched by
Rodgers), and he played in that number 10 role. I reckon he will play there on saturday.

Alberto looked very impressive for the U21's last night. Reminds me a lot of a young Xabi Alonso, but likes to get a bit further forward. Not too sure whether Rodgers will throw him straight into the first team though. I believe Joe Allen is now available for selection, so he has a midfield quartet of Gerrard, Lucas, Allen, & Henderson to choose from. He might be tempted to push Steven Gerrard a bit further forward to link up with the likes of Sturridge, Moses, & Suarez.
 
Now comes the true test whether we're a squad befitting a CL place.

Aspas, Allen, Alberto, Ibe, Sterling and of course Suarez need to do their bit.

We really dont have a replacement for him from a creative standpoint. This for me is probably where our squad depth is in question. We need suarez back quick to give us another attacking option.

Yes mate he might look to Gerrard, we do have options but we will miss Coutinho. Hopefully he can get back a bit sooner.
 
Rodgers is so erratic in the transfer market signing sub-standard players like Assaidi, Allen, Borini and Aspas imo too. Then he goes and signs quality players: Mignolet, Coutinho, Sturridge, Cissokho, Tiago and Moses is decent loan too.

To be fair he's been fairly rubbish this year. Was ordinary in the Stoke game despite making a billion good runs and dribbles there was no end product, the rest has been pretty average. Still think he is hugely overrated all over the world.

Not sure about that, from what I've seen has added a real creative spark to them and unlike say Joe Allen the guy can see and pull off a killer pass. Then again I haven't seen huge amounts of him....

It's hard to say, Sturridge has scored 4 goals so far and with a lack of goals to date from midfield I think he should stay where he is with Suarez playing where Aspas currently is.
Ideally Coutinho would be just behind in that number 10 role.

I suppose until all 3 are available we won't really know.
 
Aspas has obviously been bought as Suarez understudy. Luis will play where Aspas has so far - Just behind Sturridge.
 
Very wishful thinking here for me but I'd love to try get Mata in. Would love to see him sign.
 
Wishful indeed ;) Probably cost a fair whack and I think the likes of PSG seem interested and would pay him mega bucks that your lot couldn't afford. Also would need to be in the CL for him to consider you imo

Yeah I agree. Would take a huge bid and also a huge bit of convincing for the player but for me it would set a marker. It would state that we want to be in the champions league and we are signing proven quality to do this. Kind of the opposite of the Andy Carroll transfer.

Is Cissokho really all that? He impressed at Porto but it's all been downhill since which is why he ended up at Valencia and now only on loan at Liverpool.

You mean like every other manager then? If you're making an opinion on Tiago who hasn't played yet you have to include Sakho but it's too early to pass judgement on this season's ins. The signs are good on most. Aspas has a bit or work to do yet. I still think there's a player in Allen. Baffled by Assaidi and Borini though.

Suarez will fit straight into the Aspas/Sterling position when he's back.

When all are fit I imagine it will be

Sturridge
Moses Coutinho Suarez

With Coutinho out for Saturday I imagine it will be

Sturridge
Moses Alberto Henderson
 
I fecking hate those game-raising cnuts. Shithouses like Agger, Enrique etc. play like demons when United are in town but regress to shite when the likes of Southampton shack up. Granted, Southampton are in their faces like we never fecking do there, but the point stands.
