Liverpool

They'll cope fine without Sturridge - not that he isn't an effective player obviously, it's just that Suarez is the key talent of the team - he never gets injured or sent-off, the only suspensions he gets come from episodes of extreme cuntishness, which you'd think he's learnt from (though you'd have thought a few sagas ago admittedly). Him and Coutinho will provide more than enough in attack.

If Sturridge is injured, then all bets are off.

Even with Messi in place of Sturridge and Ronaldo instead of Suarez you wouldn't get 57-58 points in 20 games. It is retarded to even think that it is possible.

How the hell would you assume that you'll stay injury free basically for the entire season? It wasn't in next 20 games, it was against bottom 10 and those games aren't concentrated in a few months, which means that you were expecting to be injury free for an entire season which is again impossible.

You are making Glaston looks sane in these last few pages.

Yes, it was dependent on a largely injury free run. I don't see how that's unrealistic. If Carrick or Rooney or Van Persie went down for the season your expectations for United wouldn't change?
It's the stupidest prediction I've seen on the caf. And I've been here for ages.

Shhhhhh! :P

feck me Barney, i thought you were one of the better scouse football posters but with your recent comments in this thread I'm starting to wonder about you mate.

You seriously think it's realistic to assume you'll go through an extended period in the PL basically injury free? Especially considering you're theory is based on getting points from teams that have what could be termed slightly more "agricultural" players on the pitch?

As for your second line above, I know scousers get upset when we mention history, but have you not noticed the injury problems we've been beset with in recent years, but that hasn't stopped us doing what we do?

Shhhhh

Wasn't a typo or a mistake. I don't think we'll win the league as we drop too many points against the top teams, but 54-57 points against the bottom ten is doable. We are the definition of flat track bullies.

 Are you new to football or something Barney?

Said it before but they are a set piece side now. Haven't got much else to offer.

Well, that game confirmed a lot of my reservations about this Liverpool team. The Suarez/Sturridge partnership has thus far masked a soft underbelly that can be got at by most teams in this league. We have a pedestrian midfield and an absolutely unsettled defence - Toure and Skrtel were all over the place at times today.

Top 4 is still a long shot for me.

Nice one. :lol::lol:

Please jinx some more.

I really don't think we're in a position to be laughing at a team that are ahead of us right now are we?

When one club has won 13 league titles in the past 21 years, and the other is title-less for 23 years and counting, I do indeed see that one can laugh. The table is likely to be flipped by year end.

It's more the result that people are laughing at. A 3-1 defeat that could have been 4, to Hull is embarrassing whatever way you dress it. I still believe that this Liverpool squad will finish 6th at best.

The good news for them is they have their annual walkover against Norwich next.

fecks sake. Have they played any difficult teams so far apart from us? It seems week in week out they have winnable fixtures.

Form against the weaker teams has been Liverpools problem for years.

They'll up their game and beat a top team then draw to Sunderland or someone.
