Liverpool

Him performing well will only make him more likely to sign for Real so you should be hoping for slightly worse performances B20.

Like you did before Ronaldo left for Real?

Gerrard will be a big blow for them but they have enough.Three very tricky aways before the end of the year, but they are better prepared to travel to City then we are right now.I'd back them to get results in all but the City game.

As for Suarez, he has kicked on a few levels, but the problem with such players is that Real and Barca often come sniffing and their heads are easily turned. At least a wopping big fee is exchanged that can be reinvested in the squad, unless you're United!

I'm predicting four points from the next 4. We have an awful record at WHL, can see us drawing to Chelsea, and City will beat us comfortably. Cardiff *should* be a routine 3 points.

We need at least 5.

Maybe to stay comfortably in the top 4 right now. With a broader view, everyone in the top 12 of the league except man united and soton have visits to Anfield to come in the second half of the season. Our away games for the final 19 are against Stoke, WBA, Fulham, Soton, United, Cardiff, West Ham, Norwich and Palace.

As long as we are in touching distance after New Years, we're in a very good position to see home the second half of the season's fixture list.

I'll predict wins against Spurs and Cardiff, draw against Chelsea and loss against City.

Luis Suarez 10 games 14 goals 4 assists. Ratio: 1.4
Ronaldo 14 games 17 goals 3 assists Ratio: 1.21
Diego Costa 15 games 15 goals 1 assist. Ratio: 1
Ibrahimovic 16 games 13 goals 6 assists Ratio: 0.81

Falcao 14 games 9 goals 0 assists Ratio: 0.64
;)
Suarez has scored 11 goals in 5 games at anfield. Manchester United have scored 8 goals in 8 games at Old Trafford. If he keeps this up, he's heading for the Ronaldo bracket.

Seems Luis has been awarded goal no 4 against west ham after all. His tally now is actually 15 goals from 10 games. Ratio: 1.5

Upon hearing about Gerrard's injury both Liverpool fans I work with were in agreement that they'll be out of the top 4 come January 1st.

Both expecting 3 or 4 points maximum from their next 4 games.

I'm revising my prediction for this season. I think we'll finish 3rd.

Top 4 for sure, the way Suarez is carrying on, the improved Henderson and with Gerrard (mainly his deliveries) and Sturridge to come back it is very realistic.

I think a lot of people on here are underestimating them. As long as no one turns Suarez's head in January they'll finish top four for me. They've looked looked great every time I've seen them play and not having any European football to deal with has been a real blessing for them.

Top 4 isn't remotely nailed on for anyone except City at the moment.

I suspect Liverpool will fall away slightly with their Christmas schedule, whilst the Arsenal v Chelsea game next week has become massive beyond belief.

Liverpool also cannot be top at Christmas, if my maths serves me right.

If you lose to Chelsea and we beat Cardiff...?

What does being top at Christmas mean if there's very little room to breathe between 4 teams? Be happy that you're in and around the top.

If Suarez keeps his cool and concentrates on football then they will be up there for the rest of the season. Going to be very tough for us to get in to the top 4 unless we go on a superb winning run.

Liverpool are very impressive this year. I wonder how many Liverpool supporters are having a bitter-sweet experience with that of Suarez acting a real cnut before the season and now playing as well as he is. I talked to one Liverpool supporter who wanted rid no matter how well he played. I would agree with him. Liverpool are a club with traditions and hopefully integrity. Giving Suarez captaincy takes away all that. To me, the same logic applies to Rooney, albeit to a lesser extent.

I know a lot of people will slate me and say that the best players should play regardless, but imo Rodgers has made Suarez bigger than the club by giving him exactly what he wants. Moyes has done the same with Rooney; they know they can act just like they want because they are too good to be dropped.

Rossa, that's a good point about Suarez last summer. I think I made a comment when he got his ban that the only silver lining was no club would seriously consider him in the summer. And there were no serious bids. How lucky was that?

Yeah. Imagine if Madrid try to buy him in the winter. Would he still keep his head down or throw a hissy fit?

Couldn't see him wanting to disrupt his World Cup preparations by moving away in January, especially as he's in the form of his life here in England.

It's anyone's guess as to what happens in the summer. A few more team performances like that today, & he may feel he can achieve great things by staying at Anfield.

Sorry, but I have to laugh.

Seems it wasn't luck at all. I do think that it's a big dent in Liverpool's legacy though; letting a player publicly disrespect the club and saying he wants elsewhere, only for him to play at first opportunity then getting captaincy at first opportunity shows weakness at Rodger. That's where Ferguson was outstanding. He wouldn't tolerate anyone becoming bigger than the club. Instead of asking 50m for him, he would've accepted the 40m Arsenal offered (were it not a rival club) and improved the team elsewhere.

Or am I mistaken and integrity and principles should be taken out of the equation altogether?

Wayne rooney?

Rodgers seems to be doing a great job with this Liverpool side.

The sending off obviously meant Liverpool could add a lot of glaze to the result, but they'd comfortably got 2-0 up. Worrying times for Tottenham, all that outlay for what.

And yes they're still 2 points ahead of us, but we're in supposed crisis!

Average age of that starting line-up today was 24, with 6 players under the average age. He's got the same set-up/style of play going right throughout the youth teams. Don't be too surprised to see a few more young lads getting their chance in the next few years.

A lot of people think that a big cheque-book is the key to success. Getting in the right man, who can get players to play the right way, is the first, & most important step. The money should simply be a by-product of that success, which in turn, because you've got the right man, will help build a dynasty. But any Manchester United fan would know that anyway.

Rodgers has them well drilled with and without the ball, they move as a fluid unit and are very dangerous on the counter, plus with Suarez they have one of the best in the game in incredible form. If he buys in January to add a bit more depth, and with Gerrard and Sturridge to come back in, they look very likely to finish in the top 4.

Comparing Rooney with Suarez? Yes, I have and I've maintained time and again that Rooney should've been sold this summer, though not to Chelsea.

But it hasnt dented our legacy. If he can fire them in the CL, am sure not one of them will complain.

I'm of the opinion he has - well not our legacy, but he has impaired my opinion of Moyes. People praise Moyes for the way he handled the Rooney situation, making Rooney play better than he had in ages, but for me it's more about the club and the future of the club. Letting players keep you for ransom isn't a very good solution, but I see I'm in the minority here.
