Average age of that starting line-up today was 24, with 6 players under the average age. He's got the same set-up/style of play going right throughout the youth teams. Don't be too surprised to see a few more young lads getting their chance in the next few years.
A lot of people think that a big cheque-book is the key to success. Getting in the right man, who can get players to play the right way, is the first, & most important step. The money should simply be a by-product of that success, which in turn, because you've got the right man, will help build a dynasty. But any Manchester United fan would know that anyway.
This post made me laugh hysterically at my desk, well done. Weren't you Liverpool fans the ones that always maintained Rafa was the man, but just needed money to spend? Hadn't we several seasons on ehre of you Liverpool fans complaining about the American owners and not spending money etc etc? Wasn't there a continuous hissy fit at King Kenny not getting the financial backing he deserved?
All of that's gone now I suppose, just turns out they weren't the right men after all. Brilliant.
