Liverpool

That tweet is ridiculous. I think some action should be taken against retards like that.

I can't abide the argument that getting abuse is part of being famous. That doesn't make it acceptable. That argument makes it sound like it's okay for someone to hope that he kills himself, because he's 'famous'. It's hideous regardless.

More than likely, the scummer who posted that to Collymore wouldn't have the gall to say that to anyone in the flesh. It's abuse, famous or not. Twitter has given people an almost-anonymous platform to say incredibly hurtful and offensive things; things they wouldn't ever say in real life, guaranteed. The whole place is filled with hatred and threats. I'm surprised it's not policed better than it is.

It doesn't really matter if you're famous or not. If you're on Twitter talking about football, chances are, at some point you're going to have some smartphone wielding virgin barking at you like he's John fecking Rambo. Having a scan of certain Twitter feeds this evening, and it seems that any non-Liverpool fan claiming that Suarez dived is on the receiving end of torrents of abuse. What the feck is wrong with people? These angry tossers need to switch off their computers/phones and go outside once in a while.
Agree. Firstly, those people need to work extremely hard at putting together what other people have and they don't, which is a life, and secondly, there has to be some mechanism of punishment.

The club you support has no connection in any way to the type of person you are. If you're a twat; you're a twat, whether you support Oxford United or Bayern Munich.

Doesn't the UK have any provision to take action against such things? I mean, right to freedom is one thing, but blurting out that stuff in public? fecking hell!

Useful isn't even the word. It just comes do to simple human morals. The guy had zero, even the guy next to him tried to act like he didn't see it. We can sit and laugh at it because it does look very funny but in all honesty, it scares me that people can act like that.

Are all of our players pass poor?
There's a lot of bang average that's been on good form.
This said I have had a pop at Gerrard and Mignolet and rightly so, I feel Mignolet will end up the difference between top four and not, your front two are the shining light but you are shaking like a shitting dog at the back.
Once United have Rooney and RVP back they have the stronger attack and stronger squad throughout, even if the gap remains 6 after today's refereeing roadshow I can see you being eventually caught.

I think Liverpool will probably finish above United but below Everton. Everton don't have a player like Suarez but have a more solid team and get better results against the top 10 teams. And unlike Liverpool and United, they won't struggle from the burden of inflated expecations.

I never thought yesterday's match would be the walkover that a lot of fans - & probably one or two players I suspect - were expecting. Villa, for some strange reason, seem to save their better performances when they're away from Villa Park. They could have scored 5 or 6 last season with their quick counter-attacking football when they beat us 3-1. It could quite easily have been another 5 or 6 yesterday. Yeah, we can all look at the weaknesses in our side. & I'd like to think that Rodgers will look at himself & admit he got it wrong from the off with his team formation. If nothing else, this should quash his silly idea about playing Gerrard in a deeper role. He looked like a pub player in that first half.

We got more than we deserved yesterday. It turned out to be one point gained rather than two points lost. The important thing for the team & the manager is that they learn from this. A better performance is needed in our next home match against Everton. 3 points from that will put us back on track.

Agreed with all of that Redman. I suspected a Gerrard accommodating screw up and that's what happened.

Plus Villa players only turn up against the big clubs.

After the second half shift they put in against Arsenal, you kind of suspected this would be tough, they just carried that on. When it came back to 2-2 Liverpool should have thanked their lucky stars and pushed on but Villa always threatened and it certainly was a case of point gained. Everton next week will be a huge test, they are a solid unit back to front, that will be a better yard stick as to Liverpools credentials.

It certainly increases your proclivity to put 'YAWN' at the end of ridiculous statements though.

Just read somewhere that Gerard took 22 minutes to complete his first pass yesterday. He has reached that point (just like Scholes and Giggs) where it's stupid to play him in a 2 man midfield. Rodgers needs to start rotating him to get the best out of him. Had Agbolahor stayed on the pitch Villa would have most likely won the match. He was hurting both Sissoko and Johnson with his pace and power.

Lucas and Johnson out of extended periods.

Rogers - "We've got a lot of defenders and I'm not sure we need many more in - my first look will always be towards the young players."

I shouldn't celebrate a player being injured, but I won't lie, I'm not going to miss Johnson's performances this season.

Lucas is out for several months so that's probably his season over. Gutted for him, I think we need to make a purchase now more than ever.

Is this confirmed? He put on his Twitter that it wasn't a serious injury and that he'd be back in a few weeks.

Think it's pretty funny that the upshot of us signing Mata is that Chelsea signed Liverpool's number one target.

They're golden they have the SOS and a deep lying playmaker that makes Scholes look Sunday league, amazingly these poor feckers are more devastated with United's proposed signing of Mata than Chelsea are.

Yes, devastated. Though I slept well last night - don't know why. :D

What's even funnier is that you need Mata far more than we need Salah.

Yep. It is hilarious that we will drastically improve with Mata and the return of our strikers whle you will retain the form that took you from first place on Christmas day to 8 points back.

Congrats on not really needing anyone.

They have Joe Allen and Martin Kelly to come in. Not great but not much worse than Johnson or Lucas.

That would imply we would continuously play Chelsea and Man City away for the rest of the season.

As for your miraculous turnaround that is yet to come, would you say its around the corner? A new dawn maybe? Come on, I want to hear you say the words. This is marvellous stuff. :D

No, that would imply you haven't played anyone in the top four at home and assuming you will win is very cute. City will destroy your defense because it's terrible. Chelsea will play for and get what they need to at the time.

It's not United's turnaround you should be concerning yourself with.

Lets face it sunshine, 'not' drastically improving is an option you don't have.
That's not true at all, 6 points is our difference to a fourth placed side that's been surprising to say the least, United on the other hand have it's main strike force in the stands (for now) they look to have brought in one of the leagues best players and have stuttered terribly. A small improvement and any slip in surprisingly good form from above and that gap will reverse in no time at all and the rocks from which certain tards have crawled will once again be habitated.
The transfer window doesn't close for another week. We do need strengthening in certain areas, our attack isn't one of them.
No just everywhere else and I include your goalkeeper in that.

I for one am utterly embarrassed that we've signed one of the best players in the league to improve our team, whilst Liverpool don't need to.

We were never in for Mata, couldn't afford him. Were you in for Salah to improve your first 11?
