Bit embarrassing to see this kind of stuff on a United site. This is the kind of bitterness and revisionism we have been laughing at the scousers for for 25 years. Its taken 9 months for it to take a fairly big hold on many of our fans, in here.
As for the debatable pens, I think the Guzan one is the only really obvious referee error. There are a few where there is embellishment, but that's normal. As you can see by the ones the referee didn't give, it can be hard work getting a referee to acknowledge a foul in the box sometimes, they need, in my opinion too much, to see a player on the ground before they will blow.
Skrtel? Yes, he has been blatant holding from set pieces, as blatant as I have ever seen, but he is doing what is done every time on every set-piece into the box in every game. If they start blowing those, then we will have ten penalties per game.
What I really learned from watching that video is that if you get players into the box with the ball at their feet, quality players, then defenders and goalkeepers will do all kinds of daft things (Vidic, Jones I'm looking at you!). You don't get a lot of penalties from crosses.
Hilariously, out of the supporters of the two clubs I know, the siddys think they've got this massive rivalry, and the scousers just laugh it off cos they just don't.
It's embarassing to analyze penalties now? Wow.
If that was all you did, then no, but it wasn't was it? "Half of them were questionable, ..and Skrtel should have had at least five against him!"

He is understating it. He should have had at least one against him in every game he played. Have you seen him during corners and FKs? Looks like he wants to molest the guy he is marking.

Well you'd know all about getting your arse tanned by City.
It's a brilliant situation for Liverpool because the only pressure they really have is within the squad. There isn't any external pressure because they have well overachieved what anybody thought was possible this season leading the title race in April. They are really playing with house money in that if they fall short the media isn't going to blast them as they shouldn't and the fans it seems would also recognize what a great season they've had given the overall quality of the squad.
Regardless of how the season finishes for Liverpool I will be interested to see their dealings in the transfer market and the type of players they purchase. Rodgers has had mixed results from signings who have done nothing for the squad like Ilori, Luis Alberto, Aspas and Assaidi others who have to still prove their value in Allen and Borini and then great signings like Sakho, Sturridge and Coutinho. I can't say I've made it a point to watch Liverpool since their success is painful, but how has Allen looked? He played decent against United, but I haven't heard much about him this season.

Allen? Does very little in the Liverpool games I have watched. But for some reason Rodgers keeps playing him, either as a 60th minute sub, or even as a starter.
Allen has been having a quietly very good season. He's excellent as a substitute as he's a player that comes on and is immediately at the speed of the game and settles on the pitch quickly.
It's been stop start for Allen due to injuries and lack of form. He got his place back recently and was playing well but then got injured again.
I still think he is a good player, he gave us another option when Rodgers wanted to leave Sterling or Coutinho out.
I have hoped we would sign a more powerful, dominant midfielder and maybe in the summer we will - where that will leave Allen if we do I don't know.

From 2011 when he climbed Kilamanjaro. It was sponsored by them. Doesn't look good, but it's not a big deal.
Allen has been doing a steady job this season. Generally fulfils his midfield obligations on and off the ball without attracting headlines.
Done nothing beyond that though to suggest he's an unsung hero or anything. Just a good squad player you have no qualms about seeing getting gametime when we need to call on him.

Rodgers isn't a Liverpool fan, he's not from Liverpool. He did a charity thing and the Sun sponsored it. Nothing story.

They've been outstanding....it was obvious from when Rodgers took over that liverpool had finally got the right man in charge as they were hammering weaker teams by big scores, playing lovly football and it was only a matter of time before their record against the big boys improved

I remember Leeds and Blackburn winning the Premiership. Happens! Look where they're at the moment. If they win it this year it's how they deal with being champions and all the extra games next season which will define them as a team.
They've also been fortunate in not having major injuries and playing the fewest games of all the title challengers.
When you get momentum and belief like this, it is an unstoppable force. 10 wins in a row is like Arsenal in 97-98.
I was a young man in my early 30's the last time we won the league. I'm now a middle-aged bloke & I don't think my fecking heart can take the stress of a title challenge anymore.
If it's going to be like this next year, I think I'd like us not to challenge. This is exhausting.
I know! I had to cover my eyes in the crowd at times today - I turned to my left and everyone else was too!
