Liverpool

Your going to get beat at Norwich on Sunday, and you'll all be wetting your pants and biting your fingernails again, hoping for someone else to slip up.

I am sick of hearing that "it is written". Its not written, you will either win enough points or you won't, and history says that winning 14 on the bounce is as rare as rocking horse shit, so my money is on an L this weekend.

I'll bet pretty much anything that we don't lose to Norwich this weekend.

Is that cockiness or confidence?
Either way pride cometh before a fall.
By the way, what wouldn't you bet?

What is Suarez' record against Norwich? Isn't it something like 10 goals in 4 games? They've basically bent over for you every time

Edit: It's 11 in 4 and Liverpool won those 3-0, 5-2, 5-0, and 5-1. There is no chance they're losing this match

What was our home record against Newcastle, Everton & co before this season?

But they don't have a genius in charge... :(

I don't have a problem, per se, with LFC winning the league, at least they have built a team rather than buying it, but it's their fecking fans I can't stand. I want to see that cnut Gerrard crying on the last day of the season when they fall short. Not that I want either of the other contenders to win it, the 3 teams in contention are the 3 teams I'd least like to win the league.

Pretty much the same as me.

During their win streak, Liverpool have had 9 players start at least 8 matches and 7 players who started all 10.

It should be interesting to see how they cope with the changes if Sturridge is also out along with Henderson (both started all 10).

And of course, next year, odds are low they'll get such a run of consistent XIs again. They've been lucky in that regard, and Rodgers deserves credit for not tinkering unnecessarily.

I think it is this, far more than the match fittness of those selected thanks to fewer games, that has helped us this season.

You can say it hasn't helped our fringe players very much and we'd be in trouble if we had to start relying on some of them now, but it has helped our main 15 players we've used that they've been a relatively small group all getting good gametime.

Are you declaring this as "written"?

Yeah, people are banging on about squad size, but it's luck with injuries that are key to a side's success. I gave 2 examples (& I've no doubt there are a few more) of United winning major honours in 1999 & 2008 whereby the vast majority of the games played included the same 15 or 16 players.

Congratulations to them. Can't fecking believe it. You have to say the feckers have been the best team overall.

I never actually believed Liverpool would win the league until today. Wow. Jose picked a fine moment to lose his first league game at the bridge.

oh my. What a shite season in every way possible.

Someone just kill me now

Wait till Liverpool officially win it. The celebration and the wanking over how they are "back" will be nauseating, at best!

Well that's quite rubbish way for it to happen. Pathetic dive to hand it to Liverpool.

They deserve it tbf. Chelsea never looked like Champions.

Through gritted teeth- Congrats to Liverpool :(

Only if Norwich can do us a favor now! They are themselves in a relegation battle.

They've had a superb season and are playing the best football but these past few weeks everyone around them has just dropped like a sack of shit. Gifted the vital winner against City and then Jose loses his home record against a team bottom of the league. Really?

You know this would never have happened had Fergie still been here. We were the only team who didn't fold like a house of cards when any semblance of pressure was on us.

They have played the best Football this season. If they pull it off they will definitely deserve it. I never thought they would be able to even challenge for a title with these players or this manager.

cnuts have played some brilliant football this season.

It's bad enough how shit we've been, it's going to be unbearable when they're officially champions.

Cannot believe how every fecking star has aligned for Liverpool. Generally you don't get those decisions against Chelsea at SB but today of all days it goes against them!

Kolo Toure will win a PL medal for his efforts this season. Just let that sink in.

Yep, all over bar the shouting now.

I've made over £200 out of this horror show of a season. I think I'm going to use it to buy a lot of alcohol.

The season following Fergie's retirement and the Hillsborough 25th anniversary.

You couldn't write this stuff. Unfeckingbelievable.

Never thought I'd see them win a title in my lifetime.

They're a good team and all but I've never seen anyone have the luck that they've had in all my time watching football. The robbery at City was the worst referreing performance I've ever seen and then Chelsea get beat today by a penalty that never was. Aguero/Toure and Hazard/Cech all injured at key times in the run in as well while Suarez should have been sent off at City.

Everything that could have went for them has.

Rodgers could be winning the league this season. Getting a team from 7th to 1st in a single season is brilliant, whichever way you look at it. The good thing is, if we don't win the title next season and are still struggling for top 4, Moyes won't have the excuse of saying no team has gone from 7th to 1st in a single season.

Got little to do with luck.

They've been the best side this season and they deserve the title.

The fingers need pointing at our own cluster of underperforming gutless dick heads who did nothing to oppose them. The manager and the players ought to be hanging their heads in shame with the season they've given us.

I bet none of them will give a flying fcuk and will sleep soundly in their beds tonight.

This has been the worst PL for a while. Fegie's departure has fecked up the balance. Chelsea and City should have walked the league now that Moyes is in charge of United, yet they both stumble against fecking Sunderland when it matters the most. I can't believe that Liverpool is the most likely team to win it. This is surely the death of the Premier League for a couple of years. We'll be lurking comfortably in the shadow of Germany and Spain until things sort themselves out.

Can we stop the whole "Chelsea and City bottled" it argument I am starting to see? Isn't that the same type of argument we criticized Liverpool supporters for using in the past? Liverpool have scored 93 goals and can still finish with 89 points. They are the deserved champions.

United with Fergie would have struggled to finish ahead of Liverpool if we went into the last couple of months with a small advantage over them. They've been incredible. Their winning run is of the level we've seen ourselves and Arsenal produce at times.

Ofcourse they are worthy champions. That makes the whole thng even worse.
