I honestly think Rodgers has to take some blame with his unrealistic and potentially deluded expectation that they attempt to close the goal difference gap. 3-1 up and they're pushing 7 up for a corner. Really think they took the wrong approach.

The defence will need rectifying. Skrtel can't be trusted to 'lead the line'. BR is now angry enough to realise this. Options to replace Lucas, Moses, Alberto and Aspas soon will be put in place too.
Suarez crying his eyes out, instead of moping around biting people, means he's likely to stay so no need to look for his replacement. Sturridge is still shit hot. Jordan Ibe is to return and he has a higher ceiling than Sterling. Ours signings won't cost a lot or scream out but they will be (have to be) key ones.

You've largely defied expectations and it's a season to be proud of but there have been elements of continued good fortune which are unlikely to continue over several seasons. The amount of soft penalties, keeping key players fit, playing 15 less games, winning 10 on the bounce.
I believe you make your own luck but I cannot see City and Chelsea being as forgiving as they have been this season and I really cannot see Liverpool keeping up the same form as a 3rd seed pot team in the CL groups. That's 4 hard group games, potentially finishing second, a difficult knockout stage game etc...

Fair enough. I still think it was unrealistic to direct your players to push for a 6+ goal win margin in two games and it's backfired. Think you'd have been better winning at all costs and hoping City slip up with the pressure.
And they need Suarez to stay put. As well as the guys who had peak seasons to reproduce that. Big ask

A nice facht to point out to all Pool supporting mates you have. David Moyes has won more silverware this season then Brenton Rodgers.
