Liverpool

Sorry couldn't resist :D

You're a bad guy

Newcastle was like a slow train crash
Very sad

Liverpool is like a clown car going over a cliff
Very funny indeed

I saw this on some forum. Very good description, I thought.

Liverpool squandered a three-goal lead in the final 11 minutes at Crystal Palace to see their Premier League title hopes suffer a severe blow - and leave Luis Suarez in tears at the final whistle.

-

That's the opening to the article on the BBC about Palace Liverpool. I love the pause and the need to add in that Suarez was crying haha

Mirror has the headline of "Watch Luis Suarez crying after Liverpool's title hopes are dashed". But cnutish but because it's Suarez, funny

If it was anyone else I'd say it was OTT and dread, but there is a special group of headlines which should be saved for this prick!

How come Gerrard pushed the camera away today instead of kissing it today?
Otherwise the camera would have shown that Suarez wasn't really crying. He was on the phone talking to Pérez..."See you after the WC boss..."

You're joking right?

There was pictures of them on sale outside the ground before the Chelsea match. I have one on my phone but don't know how to post it.

Edit: My bad, it was actually right here in Dublin. I have to get one.

It's funny how they started challenging after fergie's retirement and started crumbling after we sacked moyes.

Bizarrely I'd got my head around Poo winning the Prem. Previously I've always taken the stance that I dont want their grubby mitts anywhere near OUR trophy, but.... they've played total attacking football, with a sod-defending attitude and it almost worked. Gotta applaud that

That said, watching them blow it has properly cheered me up. I cant remember wanting a season to end as much as this one, and Liverpool have allowed me to enjoy the run in. City are crawling over the line, so while thats painful, watching them trying to avoid winning it has also been fun

Cant wait to see Van Gaal unveiled, and fascinating to see who he brings with him. Its going to be one of the most exciting summer transfer windows of all time!

So how will the mancs will celebrate CITY winning the title? Champagne? Fireworks. Please don't ever call CITY your rivals again after the way you lot seemed to kiss up to them in the last two weeks.
I would be devasted if EVERTON won the league. What has happened to united?

Every United fan will hate the idea of City winning the league when taken in isolation - but City winning the league is the lesser of two evils compared to Liverpool winning it.

It doesn't make City less of a rival, but I won't be on my own when I say that I'd rather anyone win it over Liverpool!

Did anyone else think that Liverpool grabbing the ball out of the net and running back up the pitch at 2-0 / 3-0 did themselves no favours, in that it probably made the Palace players/fans think "Who do these twats think they are?" ... I wouldn't go as far as to say it was disrespectful (though it was possibly somewhere along the spectrum) but it was certainly ill advised.

Where does this "we go again" crap come from? It's more annoying than next year is our year.

I would mate.

In fact it's their hallmark, an absolute cancer of a football club from fans to players not another club with the arrogance to tempt fate as those clowns have these recent weeks.
Printing "champions" t shirts having victory parades for the team bus outside anfield ffs!! - who in their right mind would do such a thing?

Absolutely reviled outfit by almost every neutral in christendom for just such behaviour.

I've heard a lot of Poo fans saying they dont want to win it this season, they're happy with Champions League, they have a 3 year plan

I'm sorry but thats bollox! Total and utter. If you get a chance to win this league, and it was in their hands, you grab it with all you've got

Can you imagine a United fan EVER thinking like that!!

They would have taken CL qualification at the start of the season, in a heartbeat. But put everything into perspective; they were three games away from winning the league (two at home) and threw it away. They will feel sick.

The inevitable PR spin from the club and the subsequent rationale from the fans will be how they are happy with the season. Finishing second is definitely a massive over-achievement for that squad of players. But really, they so nearly had the league in the bag and it will sicken them for a-long time to come.

With them having plenty of extra games next season - tough away European midweek games - aswell as other teams looking to strengthen over the summer, it will be a tough ask to replicate this seasons form.

I don't know why their fans thought they had a right to smash 5 or 6 past palace either. I know they've played some good stuff, but going off some of the comments I'd heard you would think they were facing a conference north team.

Holy shit only just saw the result of the game yesterday. When I left it was still 3-0 for Liverpool. How the feck did that end 3-3 Palace was getting absolutely dominated.
Where are you, 'The Priory' ?

;)

Are you? Based on what evidence?

Moyes out and LVG or some other experienced manager in.

I would grant that it could get worse before it gets better though. For me, an ideal scenario would be the glazers having to sell to a good owner. If we have to sacrifice a few years to get ride of the glazers it wouldn't break my heart.

I still think that next year wil be much improved but that's the great thing about football, anything can happen and usually does.

what is a 'good owner' in your opinion?

I'm sure they were thinking that anyway

I'd go as far as to say that this was the best PL game this season.

Indicative of our season, obviously.
