Liverpool

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I love you Scousers when you're bitter. You just take it all so badly.

You're in your mid 20's aren't you ? Never known anything but glory with United, am I right ?

I've had 20 odd years to get used to my team not being top dogs anymore. The bitterness went AWOL a long time ago matey, & that's why I've survived on a Manchester United forum for so long.

Wonder what the future holds for people like you ?

It really shows. You seem like a calm, well balanced individual.

You even use the word matey! You get better and better.

So you don't even make your own shit up, you nick other peoples shit and pass it off as your own? You might like this account then;

Odd chap, aren't you. You do realise neither the PL nor the Championship existed the last time you lot won the league. Right?

I posted some stats. Calm down.

Yeah, I'm aware I didn't write the stats though. ;)

I don't even understand what this is meant to mean?

It's quite something that you've managed to keep up trying to defend this confused drivel for another page, well done mate.

I don't see what's confusing about it. It's fairly simple and I have just defended on the post above. Beforehand I hadn't.

Well what sort of shit excuse is that? You read something so obviously confused and stupid, and thought it good enough to copy and paste?

feck me, is it that big of a deal that it said "premier" instead of football when it's fairly clear what it meant. Some of you lot are extremely pedantic.

I don't want any of these fanfictions where City lose to be reality. City to be 2 up inside 10 minutes and I'll be grand.

City are gonna win it anyway. I'm just looking forward to another 45-60 minutes of Manchester UNITED fans shitting their pants left, right and centre until they score. :D

Some of them are extremely young, & weren't about before the invention of football in 1993.

This is the bit I don't get... you make a minor gaff that makes you come across like somebody with no real appreciation of football pre-Premier League, but then exascerbate the situation by going on the attack about other people not being aware of football before 1993. It's very odd.

Btw, Barney - he didn't say "premier" instead of "football", he said "championship" instead of "2nd division". I'm sorry to break it to you, but Liverpool have never won the Premier League.:smirk:

Realistically though, all that will enter your mind during that game is the fact that you fecked up your greatest chance to win a 19th title for a long, long time. It's quite wonderful, especially since we're now getting a top class manager and could definitely build on our 20th.

City don't even know they're in a title race by the looks of it, so it actually doesn't really hurt all that much.

It's pretty common amongst those United fans of a younger age to mock & deride Liverpool's achievements in the pre-Premier League era, mainly because they weren't around to witness it. Yet on the other hand, they're very proud of United's past regarding things like United's 1968 European Cup win, & the great Busby Babes. That's equally as odd, if not somewhat blinkered.

In the last couple of weeks? Wow, it's all been happening.

Btw, you need to learn how to take a joke - I was clearly taking the piss, but being a scouser you have to try and argue the toss.:lol:

Maybe I should start using a few laughter smilies in my posts. That'll give me a : 'I was only joking, get out of jail free, card'.

:lol::lol::lol:

It's a bit confusing anyway, because prior to the Chelsea game, when most of you were suicidal & bitter, there was a sparse use of the aforementioned emoticons.

European Cup wins have to be considered aside from a Champions League win. They aren't the same trophy.

I'm young, and I always consider the latest title as the biggest achievement. Football evolves, the skills get better, the defenders learn more. I'm not one for "the history" as such. I'm more about the here and now.

Not saying past titles aren't a massive achievement, because at the time they obviously were. But I doubt the competition was quite as fierce. Probably more genuine, but the money driven industry it is today, it's a cut throat business. It was entertainment back in the days wasn't it? Now you get managers grinding results to win the league.

*anything I've said about the past may be incorrect because I was only a sperm then.

**may not have even been a sperm.

Not worth a wank.

Echo now reporting that we're looking at alternative targets to Konoplyanka for that position on the wing.

Lots of talk that Caulker has a release clause and we're set to activate it too. Telegraph are the main ones reporting it.

Andy Heaton of the Anfield Wrap saying Henderson has agreed a new deal too. They don't report things unless they're 99% sure so that's more good news.

Against most teams, yes. Against Bayern or Barca, no, but who can?

Really? I think he's struggle against most, he's basically like our midfield. Average as shite and can't step up when it matters (IMO of course). He's a decent squad player for you guys, but I just don't think he has the presence or ability to go toe to toe with the other midfielders around Europe. I think bayern, Dortmund, Madrid, Barca, juve, psg wouldn't have a problem.

The thing I think would hold him back most in Europe is his mentality though, he looks like a lost kid at the best of times.

You've obviously seen more of him than I have so I'll probably be wrong. Was just my impression of the lad.

His mentality has proven a lot since Rodgers has come in. He's future captain material. I think those midfield have better players, but I think Henderson would be able to cope. He's someone I'd play whenever fit.

Hmmm sounds like fletcher for utd fans a few years ago. Underrated by everyone bar utd fans.

Mentioning captain material there... Your squad doesn't strike me as having many options for it :s who's your VC now?

I always thought he was an underrated player and his range of passing always stood out to me. I don't think he is as good as him but I see some similarities in him with Alonso. I will probably be laughed off the forum now.

Agger is our current VC. Gerrard, Toure, Henderson, Lucas and Suarez are all leaders or possible future captains. Wouldn't surprise me to see any of Agger, Lucas and Toure leave though. If Lallana and Caulker reports are true though, we'd also be adding 2 captains to our ranks.

Aye, his range of passing is very good. He's got a decent eye for a through ball too. I don't think he's too much like Alonso though. He has a much better engine for one.

Suarez would be an awful choice to most bit can see why Liverpool would make him captain. Still, he could even be off this summer couldn't he?

Ive seen him pick out some long passes out to the wing and that is what made me think of Alonso. England should use him imo.
