Everyone wants rid of Rooney. It'll be the most sought after Xmas gift this year.
Biggest disappointment about him is how he was made to be a tough man with big balls in terms of making decisions.
Hear hearWe don't press high and pen other teams back in the way Bayern Munich and Barcelona do. We're awful to watch, and the results aren't good enough for the money that's been spent. I can't mention Wayne Rooney without feeling my blood pressure rise so I'll just say what I'd like to see happen once again: do a deal with Guardiola now and give him whatever he needs to bring in the players he needs in the summer. Van Gaal is clearly not the right man to bring us back to the top; he's not even the right one to make us play attractive football. We either act now or we fall behind City and Arsenal.
Will there be long queues for this?Everyone wants rid of Rooney. It'll be the most sought after Xmas gift this year.
Exactly. He talks absolute tosh. The possession = chances argument doesn't explain why Crystal palace who had less possession created far more chances.
Big no to that. I have doubts about LvG but wouldn't touch Mourinho.I suspect posters have mentioned this already but I can't be bothered to check.
If Mourinho is sacked, would you like him to replace LvG?
i'd add also that possession does not mean controlling a game either. Seeing as our opponents seem to comfortably have more shots on goal than us, and only one team looked like scoring todayThe possession = chances argument doesn't explain why Crystal palace who had less possession created far more chances.
Agreed, sack him now and bring in Ancelotti.Ancelotti is out there without a club and part of me thinks why wait.

It would a massive shock for LVG to be relieved of his duties before the end of this season. It would certainly seem a bit harsh despite what's currently going on.
Still, bringing in Ancelotti right now (or someone of his ilk) would be a great move, in all likelihood.
not having a go but FFS that's middle of the roading it , nicely done.
I just mean on the face of it, Van Gaal isn't doing a 'bad' job. However I do think we can know from Ancelotti's time with Chelsea, he'll certainly be able to get much more attacking flair into the side.
I just mean I would predict getting him in would work out, despite it being harsh on Van Gaal.

wiggy will come on and we get plan b which is plan a with more hair.
Is there any point in giving him a third year?
The team is obviously taking on LvG's boring ethos, much as we did with Moyes. If LvG can't motivate this group to punch above their weight then he should not be automatically afforded a 3rd year.
Ancelotti would struggle as well with the scarce attacking options available to him. We might see more attractive football though. The main thing which ultimately annoys me about LVG, is the fact he let so many attackers go and failed to replace them. It was obvious we would struggle to create chances this season. Time to give Pereira a chance me thinks.
Moyes came in without a plan.
And then we went and got someone with a plan to play like Moyes.
Is how I feel at the moment.

they (ownership/club elders) expected a minimum 4th place finish from moyes and when he could not meet those expectations he got done. with the spend and expectations , the "they" must be expecting more from LVG as well. wonder when they pull the plug?

Has to win the PL or CL for me. Didn't see the game today, but the kind of tumescent football we play has to produce big trophies if we are to continue with it.Is there any point in giving him a third year?

It's not harsh at all because we have grand designs in terms of progression as a team and Van Gaal hasn't really done enough to strengthen his case after being given free reign to gut the squad and bring in new players. We need to get back on top asap and Ancelotti is a man who has proven that he can take a well funded team to that level.

Starting to agree with this. If we continue playing this way, even if we win UCL, I would still prefer to see him leaving. Trophies are nice, but not if you have to experience 40+ times this boring, tumescent, unwatchable shit. I was closer than ever leaving the match today, it was so boring and everyone knew that it was going to end that way.He could win the trebel and should still leave. Entertainment is primordial.
Fortunately for Rooney SAF decided to retire. Wayne must have been jumping for joy when that happened. Some said when SAF moved Rooney to the middle ,it was the beginning of the end .But he's still here.
