Frustrating at the end, so are our other 5 or 6 players, but he is still twice the danger Valencia wass in last few months.

I'm more worried about Rooney not completing two fecking passes in whole half, what has he eaten today ffs?

Very, very frustarting so far. If he is left on, he'd wanna buck up big time in the 2nd.

Doesnt look sharp enough which isnt surprising. didnt think he was poor or anything. just taking that split second more which is seeing crosses being blocked. needs games.

He's till having a go at the full back, been a rarity on the right for us this season.

The assist chart doesn't lie you! Open your eyes when Valencia was injured he was the 1 player keeping us going.

Such a short memory some people have.

he has in the past been fantastic but today he has been nothing short of awful.
Closely matched by Clattenburg who seems to think because he gave a penalty he has to make it up with 20 decisions the other way.

Dangerous but his end product is off so far. Encouraging signs though, he'll only get better with more game time.

Waiting to see if he stays on. If he does, I'm putting him on to score. Just put Rooney on too. One of them will score.

Im as big an admirer of him as anybody but forgetting this and being totally honest, he has not been good enough. We are playing a poor side and he has loads of the ball and done nothing with it. This needs to change

He's not been bad so much as on a different wavelength to the rest of the team, which is understandable given his time out

Ah man c'mon. Yes, he is getting into positions to receive the ball(not necessarily hard against this lot) but what is he doing with it? 3 times now he has actually stood still when he received the ball ffs. I appreciate he has had time out and the'rust' factor will inevitably be taken into account but he has been poor today.

He played decent enough. Created a few chances, was unlucky with a couple of shots too. Even signs of Nani at his best with a few of his runs, notably in the second half.

2nd game back, very good. Involved in every attacking move, dangerous.

Few daft moments, but overall a big boost for us to have him back.

Was very good today I thought. Lacked a little end product, and didn't link up as well with Rafael as Valencia does. But both of those things should improve with game time.

I don't think you understand football.

I thought him and Rooney both improved as the match went on and showed signs of what they are capable of. If we get the two of those firing and RVP maintains form then we have the makings of something special.

Should play whenever possible. Opposition players fear him irrespective of how he's playing, and when he does play well like he was doing today he's more dangerous than any other player we have in his position.

Considering he has been out for a few months it was an okay performance-will only get better!

Get him a new contract!

Very good today, especially second half. Hopefully he gets a run in the side and signs a long-term deal. Good to have him back in the side.

He needs a good goal to kick on with. It's what usually sparks him into form.

A bit too selfish today, but otherwise a good performance. Looked far more lively today than young and Val have the last many games. I hope we get the Nani back on top form.

Very good game, making good decisions even if some of them didn't come off

How good is it to have him back?

Of course he frustrates, but he also creates and penetrates. He's still trying to find his form so give him some time. But that performance was definitely encouraging. He showed us some things we haven't seen from our wings in a while.

Would you lot start him against Real Madrid? Could create something out of nothing but he tends to give the ball away in trying that -- a counter attack could decide the tie.

Beat his man a few times and was crucial in our play. He got involved in our attacking play in a way that you dont see valencia and young do.

He is crucial and i would wish to see him be our first choice wingern ow.

He's improving and that's good sign. If he can reach his level soon he'll be a great help for the second half of the season.

Has any player ever split the Caf as much as Nani?

I can see the benefits of a fit and on form Nani, on his day he can be unplayable, it's the "on his day" bit I struggle with though, I'm not talking about today cos as we all know he's just working his way back, I'm talking about his overall time at our club, and with that in mind the "on his day" times have been too few for me.

His technical skill is just so far on another level to any other winger we have its almost funny. Even today, when he wasn't even particularly good, he managed to showcase just what he can bring to the table. That run near the end was out of this world.

We really need to get him firing again, a Nani on form takes this team to a whole new level imho. I just hope he hasn't already given up. Would be a massive shame.

He might be wasteful and he might be inconsistent but even on days like that he gives us much more than any of our other wingers do. I really think we should go with him and Giggs as first choice wingers for all the PL games till the end of the season.
