Either way, don't know if its been said, but up until that point, I was quite pleased with Nani's performance; I thought he did himself a favour.

Aye, the best any winger has played for us this season. Only fault if I'm being picky is a shit corner in the first half, hit the first man.

I wonder if he had not stayed down and just hopped up and got on with it, would that have made a difference.

It was like a sign of guilt when he was rolling about.

Still a shocking red. But trying to understand the whole scenario and what influenced the ref.

Go away with what you're implying. His reaction shouldn't have nothing to do with it.

He played well, but Giggs as a right winger played better and has had one or two matches this season where he has been brilliant as a winger.

The thing with Nani is that you always expect him to create something. He can whip in a great cross from a standstill, and he can go past any player with blistering acceleration and dribbling skills very few players in the PL can match.

Where do you all think we stand regarding his future? Will he stay or go in the summer? I for one would be devastated if he left. Would love to see him in the team until may.

I think his futures at the club. Lots of bullshit get's written. He's been injured but come back strongly

No one knows. Quite clear the contract negotiations are dragging on but anything more is pure speculation.

That's what negotiations are. They'll drag on. Some people seem to be under the impression they're meant to take 5 minutes.

The fact he got to start ahead of Rooney in the biggest game of the season should give him some assurance of his future role in the team.

I am not sure it's enough for him to want to stay though. I reckon he's pretty much made up his mind like Pogba.

He'll most likely start today, and the reception he'll get might well help with the negotiations..

That's just speculation though like what we had regarding Vidics wife. It's probably the biggest contract of his life. I think we won't hear much until late in the summer when we come out and say it's like a new signing ;)

Let's not paper over it though. There are clearly problems and issues that need sorting, Fergie has said so himself.

It's negotiations. It's just a stand off at the minute. It don't mean we'll sell the player. Sir Alex has himself stated he wants him to stay and we know that's true because at his best, he's a great player. The sending off against Madrid could actually help in that matter. It'll be great for him to get a good reception today and hopefully he'll grab himself a goal

Nani: "I want to show the manager that he can trust me and he can believe in me in everymatch. I think the best is still to come from me."

I always thought, and the general consensus on here is that its a crap site. I havnt been on it for a long time though tbf

It is a rubbish site - aesthetically. That kind of news would be on the site pretty quickly.

Its a pain to navigate and find anything on unless its one of the last couple of news reports. But information tends to appear there fairly quickly I think. The forum attached the it is a joke though

For someone who doesn't track back, has defensive brainfarts, and is one of the world's most incosistent players so can't be trusted at all, especially in big games, he's getting too much game time recently, someone has to tell Fergie not to start him anymore.

Nani tracks back and defends just as much as Valencia yet it always goes unnoticed.

Very happy that he starts, and deservedly so. Great show of faith by the manager after what happened during the week.

This nonsense is going to be trotted out a lot over the next few months, isn't it?

 maybe, but regardless if he was being sarcastic or not it still applies to the people he was being sarcastic towards.

Gillette soccer sat guys were spouting it yest, kept going on about how you could choose nani over rooney or valencia out wide. Pretty easy choice for the role needed and the form of valencia tbh. But that's the thing with a lot of press/pundits they form an opinion on some players and never change it unless it becomes be so glaringly obvious.

Yeah that's the thing, they don't watch every single minute of football yet they think they're experts on it. To be fair, we're probably the same with rival teams, the same way people like peterstorey are biased against Rafael. You form an opinion and don't change it, or you jump on a bandwagon and just roll with it.

Watch today and I'm sure Nani will be doing his fair share of tracking back. Of course you can't expect him to be tracking back all day long, he has to do his attacking as well, but when push comes to shove he'll be back doing his part defensively.

So far Nani's been doing as much defending as attacking if not more, of course the pundits will miss this and say Valencia offers more protection.
