Yes seriously, not world form, world CLASS, he is of that class, he has the ability.
I think you can safely add Ribery and Lavezzi to that list, though some people probably wouldn't count Lavezzi.

I'd actually agree with Ribery, and with that, add Robben (Who for me is the big game player of the 2). I haven't seen enough of Lavezzi on the wing to comment really... seem's a decent player but I don't know a lot of him past that.

What a load of rubbish. No player has any right to try and hold the club to ransom - especially a player who has contributed little over the last season. Fact is, if he spent more time out on the pitch showing what he could do then the rest takes care of itself.
Giving Nani a new contract on substantial money sets an example to the rest of the sqaud that they can ask for what they want, perform poorly and still be looked after - its a total nonsense.
He's a player who flattered to deceive for a few years and then found his feet and looked like he was really going to kick on - then didn't. The guff on here about him being a world class player is just that. Pleanty of players have the ability to be superstars, few can actually fine the consistency and confidence to do it. He gets a free ride from a lot of fans because they remember the brilliant things he's done - if he were a centre half or keeper and had performed inconsistently people would be much less eager to forgive him.
He's got world class talent, but it's debatable whether he's a world class footballer.

Especially whilst injured or when players in poor form were picked in front of him for no obvious reason.
Didn't Downing go for £20m with a year left, and Young for £18m too? Ridiculous. Every Prem club should be after him at that price.
And still scored more goals than Navas last season.
Totally. It was a mystery when Nani would play a game or two and look reasonable, then be dropped completely the following week and we'd not see him again for ages.
Personally I can't see why we're thinking of selling for such a low price if its true. Even if we met his wage demands I can't see how we'd be spending more than what we would to bring in a replacement, unless he's gone mental with what he wants.

How long do you give a player? The reality is that he has a year left on his deal so will either need assurances that he will play. Likewise the club need to commit him to a new deal or sell. its perhaps best for both parties for him to move on - he gets a new challenge and the club can realise some money.
I think the homegrown quota puts paid to that...
Why? We have Zaha so we can get rid of Young and then if we have to sell nani replace with another foreign player.
Young offers us nothing - and perhaps his salary has been the bone of contention for Nani. Fergies dealings with Berba and Nani have not been great.

Zaha doesn't have to be counted in the homegrown quota (although, yes, he could). Young is experienced, English and slightly more consistent than Nani... and the last couple of years it would appear that Fergie preferred players that were more consistent, hence Berbatov and Nani playing less or being sold. We don't know what Moyes will favour although indications from his Everton teams suggest that he prefers consistency over frustratingly brilliant.
We musn't forget that Young got 8 goals and 12 assists in 11/12 which wasn't that bad a total. He was injured for most of last season, hence only playing 19 times all year. As a squad player he definitely is a decent enough option. No one believes that he is worth the wages or transfer fee, but that is the English premium. No doubt every one will get on Zaha's back when he is inconsitent and use the transfer fee to batter him with too.

Young is consistently uninspiring if that's what you mean, then yeah I agree.
Why not? Nani was the same age when he was signed and got stick for years. The transfer fee was used to bash him as well.
Zaha is young and has got talent - how he develops depends on a number of things but overall it was woth the investment due to his age and potential and his wage packet.
Young - I always thought he was over rated and we didnt need him but then to pay so much for a guy with a year left. It made no sense then and it still doesnt. I would sell Young in a hear beat - he offers us very little.
It took a few years for people to really get on his back though, he was a very frustrating player in his early years here, VERY.
Why's everyone fixated on the £8.5m United reportedly priced him at when the starting price the bidding club put forward was £6.5m? That in itself kind of shows what they think he's worth to begin with. If he was worth the £15-20m being talked about, I'd think the club would start at something less but at least a bit closer to that.
Don't disagree but I suspect that Zaha will be very similar. Can guarantee some numbnuts will be on his back bitching about the transfer fee within the first 5 games of his time here.
I didn't think Young was ever rated at all, so I was surprised we bought him, as well as being utterly underwhelmed. I thought only Martin O'Neil thought he was good enough to be playing for a top 2 side. He's scored 3 or 4 nice goals for us, but he's frustrating to watch, equally as predictable as Valencia without the explosive pace.
Good lord, at what? There is literally not one area of football, apart from perhaps tracking back(PERHAPS), where Ashley Young is in any way better than Nani. Nani produces CONSISTENTLY BETTER performances on a football pitch than Ashley Young could ever dream of. This Nani isn't consistent thing is going overboard. Honestly. Ashley Young?!
We have always replaced talent with talent, Beckham, RVN, Stam, Cantona, Schmeichel but keeping Young and letting Nani go makes no sense. Sure Nani is inconsistent but he can change a game.
I'm not saying he is better, just slightly more predictable. Nani is very obviously the better player... just you know what you are likely to get from Young (even if you don't like it) whereas you can never say the same about Nani.
He was always too inconsistent, for me, to be considered truly world class.

He's in his final year now but, if a player like Young can go for 17m in his final year, asking at least 15m for Nani would make sense. Unless the only way to offload him is to go low because whoever is buying him is paying him a butt load so can't afford a very high transfer fee.

If he goes for anything less than 15 million it's a fecking joke...and even 15 million doesn't seem like much even considering he's going into the final season of his contract, Young and Downing went for more than that and they can't measure up to Nani in terms of footballing ability, it's not even close, so what if they're English.
Bale being in the top 3's a big stretch if you ask me...obviously no doubt what-so-ever about the other 2....but yeah that was a step too far if you ask me

Probably not. I've been saying for a while that Nani needs a run in the team in order to build his confidence up. I thinks he's one of those players who needs reassurance from time to time. The lad's talent is immense and it would be a shame to see him go when he could be one of the best wingers in the league.
