I would've said it's possible on a shorter contract. But I think Moyes is aware that Nani is very important to the squad, especially if Rooney is still leaving at some point.
I'm still surprised he signed it after last season, especially five years. Moyes must have given him a helluva lot of assurances.
I hope he recaptures form of 2009-11. Still only 27 and if he applies himself more and improves decision making, he can be lethal.
Talksport are saying that Moyes, in a bid to convince Nani not to leave, learned Portuguese over the summer and stayed in Nani's house with their family for two weeks.

Nani doesn't have a statue of himself, unless you're implying Woodward has a statue of Nani, which would make far more sense.

Woodward was also tasked with learning broken english so someone could finally effectively communicate with Wayne, but felt the forced hair transplant to establish a common ground was a step too far.

Woodward has a statue of himself re-negotiating Nani's five year extension. He is in a gigantic stadium and there are 100,000 spectators cheering him on and he is standing on a human foot-stool that is actually Sir Alex.

Nani, in a batman outfit, sits just behind the gates, crouching down with his head bowed in servitude, his contract etched onto his chest in gold. The Joker - Alex Ferguson - is chained to the bat-signal light, but instead of showing the batman it now projects a picture of Woodward, and in the distance you can see all the players in the world running to sign a contact, his contract.
You should get Jim'll Paint it to draw that.

Reasonably sure the previous thread was the one where I had extensive arguments with people who thought Malouda was better than Nani because of that one season where he racked up a load of assists when his team was already 3-0 up. Malouda, ffs.
Malouda was a very good player in the 09/10 season though. There's no mistake about that.
