I think Modric will be a Spurs player next season.
Can anyone confirm whether or not Glaston is an honourable person? Is he just going to welch and vanish forever when Modric leaves?
Shall I ask the same question in revesre of the two posters with whom I've agreed a wager? Can anyone confirm whether or not Glaston is an honourable person? Is he just going to welch and vanish forever when Modric leaves?

I think not ...and therein lies a difference between you and I.

Nothing's changed: Modric will be at Spurs next season. My offer of bets remains open ... beyond the two wagers agree so far.
Levy got 30.75 out of us for Berba and Modric has 5 years on his contract and the market is severely inflated right now. I really wouldn't be shocked if he got 40+ for Modric and Chelsea would be desperate enough to pay it as well.
Maybe we should make an offer of Carrick, Evans and Berbatov for Modric. It gives them a quality striker and defender which address their needs, abeit an inferior midfielder replacement, and improve their team. How's that?
You really are a bit of a tosser ain't ya? Spouting bollox seems to be your stock-in-trade.This is what I'm thinking. He always pisses off for months at a time when Spurs are shit.
Wouldn't be a great surprise to see him disappear for good if he owes alot of people money.
He and Torres together could be something a bit special, if Torres can remember how to play football again.
£25? My bet being that Modric will still be at Spurs next season.I'll put £25 to that.
Im quite disapointed in Modric, i know he isnt the first player to do this but he has just signed a long term contract.

Done deal: OK?

Modric has 2/3 assists last season, can't remember which it is but hardly going to set the world alight. He is very overated and this is not sour grapes as he is leaning towards Chelski. If we have 30 million plus to spend on a CREATIVE midfielder it could be spent much better than on Modric.

Such comments don't reflect well on you. You do realise this - right?Yeah, I want to know if I will actually get my money ....
Have you lost a bet with anyone here previously and paid up?

OK.I'll have £50 that Modric leaves Spurs in this transfer window
Why not?
You don't think it's in any way plausible that a footballer who is settled in London might prefer to stay there, given the choice?
I like Manchester but it's not hard to see why footballers from the continent might find London a better place to live. It's a lot bloody warmer for a start!
History of the club is not likely to have an effect on Modric. We're fans.
Money>trophies>location in that order for most footballers.
What people are missing here is that there is no chance he did that interview, it would've just been discussed with his agent and a transcript passed to the newspaper.
It's obvious that if Chelsea are his best option then he'll say nice things about London. As I said, if Barca were to come in for him do people seriously think he'll be staying in London? I for one don't.
The way I see it, Chelsea are his only viable option right now, the fact that no other clubs seem to be in the mix means that he's Chelsea bound, I'm pretty certain of that. I very much doubt United would've let it get this far if they really wanted him.
It's whatever your suspicious little mind imagines it to be.So, that's a 'no' then.

If Spurs could hold onto their best players they would but a top club.
Fergie called him the best footballer in England.
But the fact he doesn't get the assists directly is tantamount to how they play, he spreads the defenses allowing a simple cut back/cross from Bale and Lennon, despite not getting the assist he still created the goal.
Football isn't a mathematical game.

Obviously we were never interested then as the great man would never talk up a potential transfer target to drive the price up,he would only do that to inflate the price as he did with Adam.
Situation might be reversed. A lot of people may end up owing him money. This is what I'm thinking. He always pisses off for months at a time when Spurs are shit.

I am not imagining anything. You obviously have no history of making good on lost wagers here. If you had, you would say, and I would be happy to take your money.
As it stands, I don't trust you as far as I could throw you. I would also suggest that anyone who has made a wager with Glaston demand that the money be placed in escrow.

Do you imagine that any poster on here to whom I'd lost a bet and then refused to pay would not have made this publicly known on Red cafe?I am not imagining anything. Everyone on the forum should bet him a quid, if Modric stays we all pay him no big deal, quid each and one transaction, if he leaves then he owes £40,000 in separate transactions.
