Been watching the south american U17 Championship and Lula or Lulinha of Brazil has scored 11 goals and looks incredible. He is about the same height as rooney and has a strong build and scores great goals. One for the future but probable off to spain. full back Fabio looks class also.

Heres a little about it from Fifa.com

Corinthians starlet Lulinha continued his arresting form by architecting Venezuela's downfall in Ibarra. Indeed, the 16-year-old complimented his eleventh goal of the campaign with an eye-catching performance, Brazil's fourth goal emanating from his delightful back-heel, which brought back memories of former Corinthians and Brazil great Socrates. The inventive Tales of Internacional, Vasco's Alex and Fluminense left-wingback Fabio, who scored his fifth goal of the competition, also impressed for the Seleção, who will be among the favourites to claim gold on Korean soil.

Would Fabio be the one of the twins we signed a couple of years back? I'm guessing it is since they play for Fluminese.

Dont know to be honest but the Fabio is the spits of Kieron Richardson also so its very possible but I Thought those twins were a bit older maybe 18 or 19 years old

Not sure how old they are. They were supposed to be moving over here when they turned 18 and they aren't here so I guess they're not 18. Plus Kieran Richardson is 22 and playing in the England U-21's.

we cant sign under 18 players from there .. fabio and his brother will join next season..

anyway .. cant really tell the potential at the under 17's level
rooney was playing in the premier league , there is a big difference

scout him for 2 years , lets see how he turns out :D

They are 17 .THats why they haven't signed with United yet.

It's our Fabio as far as i know, Fluminiense probably don't have 2 left-backs called Fabio of the same age, and if they do, i'm sure we would have signed the right one anyway!

Bless, it is difficult to read through all those posts to discover this question has already come up. I mean, there are like 10 posts or something in here.

This Fabio, he wouldn't happen to be the one we got from Fluminense, would he?

i know it's only youth tournaments but 5 goals for a leftback is not bad at all, maybe we can convert him to a left winger in due time.

We really need to be signing central midfielders from South America for our youth team....

Where have you been watching the games?

What for? I rather like the idea of having a goal scoring fullback:drool:

obviously it would be great to have a fullback who can score goals (gary neville...cough... cough), but if the guy's a good finisher then i think we can utilise that and play him in a position where he would be more involved in scoring goals, we all know how good brazillians are at defending.

Esporte interativo - a brazilian channel. :smirk: Im not sure if you can stream with this channel as I live in brazil but the website is www.esporteinterativo.com.br

This is a free channel in brazil and shows all the united games so maybe it can be streamed some how

I cant confirm if it is the same Fabio that we signed but it is very likely as in brazil they never give the full name of the footballer, just the nickname.
Been talking to some Brazilians and they've been telling me that Lula is the hottest prospect since Ronaldinho was a 16 years old. They told me that Lula has bigger potential than Kaka and Robinho had at 16 years old but they told me that Ronaldinho was a more exciting prospect at 16 years old.

His name was Lula, he was a showboat
Wearing yellow undies on his head
Supporting Brazil until he's dead.
He would stepover, then drop his shoulder
And while he tried to be a star
Gay Tony tended to his arse.
Across the penalty box
He would backheel to a fox
He was young and built like Rooney
Who could ask for more?

At the Cora, Cora Corinthians
The hottest spot south of Havana
At the Cora, Cora Corinthians
Football and a lack of passion were always the fashion at the Cora....

He broke his leg.....

Not bad. I was gonna post something like:

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeelll
You know you make me wanna shout (shout)
Look my hand's jumpin' (shout)
Look my heart's thumpin' (shout)
Throw my head back (shout)
Come on now (shout)
Don't forget to say you will (shout)
Yeah, don't forget to shout (shout)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

But it looks like you've just trumped me.
