Why would his England career be jeopardized, when he always shows up for the NT. He doesn't even need to play at a 'high level', he's not a youngster still improving anymore, he just needs to keep up his fitness. And cbs are much less demanding than other positions.

No, but I know that Ten Hag has stopped talking to reporters about injury timelines because he doesn't want to divulge that information for two reasons.
1. It helps opposition guess our lineup and target players who are returning from injury. McTomminay returned from an ankle injury last season and Ten Hag didn't mention it because he thought they would target him and his ankle.
2. Employer confidentiality. It's normal in Holland for the clubs not to talk about injuries the players have suffered.
So knowing that, and knowing Mount is out for around 4 to 6 weeks, Ten Hag recently said Shaw was out for 'longer than Mount, I think', suggesting he's not really sure himself but it's probably around the same length of time as Mount + a couple of weeks max.

Injuries at United and England mean he's on the verge of being in both sides. So much for fighting for his place, both managers are going to end up picking him regardless of form. 3. Him not leaving is actively hurting United's ability to improve as a team
4. The United fans don't want him here

Of course it's Woodward's fault, but Harry can make a very, very handsome living playing actual football somewhere else, and presumably is only not doing so because of money.
