I have a feeling that we might see Giggs in a more defensive mode tomorrow. The BBC squad contains Richardson, which may indictate that Giggs may well be asked to play left back and let Kieron play on the wing. It would be a suprise to see Richardson there, as he's not burst through into the first team full time yet, but when has that stopped Fergie from springing a suprise or two??

For all the injuries and suspensions that would leave us with 14 full internationals and 1 U21 internationals. That should be a strong enough side in many ways. Even with Giggs playing a more defensive role.
 
Problems here...I personally would have given McShane on the bench atleast. But it seems hes not even in the squad.

The only thing I can think of is that Pugh will get a go...:nervous:

People make alot of our recent form, but is it any wonder, looking at the injuries we have. The whole first choice backline, and more, wiped out - FFS.
 
When this bad luck will end ? while the others were lucky today Chelsea should have been 3-0 down at half time at bolton, & arsenal got a left with their 1st goal at Blackburn ,,,not a free kick IMo.
 
Its just not our season, we have had our entire first team out at one time or the other due to Injuries and suspensions, and when u have all your first defence out injured u would struggle not matter what team u are, but we will be back much strong in the next thats for sure.
 
Get the formation right going forward and it should counteract the defensive weakness.

I'd suggest Scholes just behind RVN as Saha is carrying an injury or 2.
 
Butt to play in the defence perhaps? I'd be more comfortable with him there than Giggsy. But I guess that would leave the midfield without a holding player (unless Kleb plays there - the position that we all expected him to when we first signed him).
 
Getting near to KO. Are you still all feeling confident? :nervous:

With Djemba apparently injured i reckon that we need a battler in the centre and Fletch is more of capable. Ronaldo shud run rings around city causing lots of problems and making lots of chances for Ruud and Saha.

Keane has got to be at the back to keep Wes focused and we gotta have faith every 1 gonna put the effort in today.

Im expecting Giggs and Keane to be inspirational and either of the 2 to get MOTM just a feeling
