Some people will vote even when they've not watched it.

Keano for me.

Can't you wait until tonight?

Ruud was fantastic today. Easy man of the match. And truly, did he not start to celebrate his goal even before he hit the ball?

Overall not a very good performance. A few months ago we wouldn't have had a chance of winning such a match. Makes a difference.

The referee was terrible.

What about Bart? <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

I thought you said Green was clueless? Seems strange that you'd take his opinion seriously if this was the case.

Seriously mate, it really is better if you wait a few hours, watch the match and put a proper opinion on who you really thought deserved this award.

I would also like to give Micky some credit. We lacked agressiveness in defense in the first half. With Micky at CB that came, along with speed. No shadow should fall over O'Shea however but he needs an agressive CB beside him.

I cant comment as i did not see the match
but shame on you Neil for spelling OLE'S name wrong <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

Just typo mate. I'll wait until I've seen the full game on MUTV on sunday night for my ratings.

And yes i have seen the game on canal+ :p </strong><hr></blockquote>

Canal plus exists in England ?

It was broadcasted on a pay per view channel in France. I've bought the game. But there is a new channel sports on the Satellite, Sport Plus, that has broacasted every United game for free since three months ago, it was the first they didn't show for ages.

Very good performance by Rio I thought with Roy coming into his own in the second half particularly having been a little restrained in the first. Difficult to choose between those two. Gary also had a good match and I thought Seba battled very well in midfield without it being one of his most inspirational displays. JOS seemed a little uncertain alongside Rio and looked much better when swirched to LB. Mickey did very well taking over from JOS in the middle and our back line looked a lot more secure as result. Ole and Giggs, despite his goal, were rather preripheral and we missed Scholes until he came on in the second when things perked up.
First goal is a fantastic team effort and as such one of the best so far this season.
Can't really choose between Roy and Rio so they'll have to share it !

It's hard to determine. I voted for Gary Neville, who was very stable throughout the match and help the attack very well in the first half. Besides, Keano also deserved a praise.

If they'd been inter-changed and playing in their better positions, might have been different. Giggs is no striker, Ole is no left-winger.

I want to stress that I am NOT the one who has voted for Barthez, who played only half an hour. True !

keane! tho rvn, gaznev and ferdinand were excellent aswell. good performance in general.

I've been critical of Fergie playing people out of position before, but I think he's trying to create a far more fluid system with inter changeability going forward. I was horrified to see JSV employed, it seemed exclusively, on the left in the Blackburn game but then it all became clear against West Ham where Giggs, Veron, Becks & Scholes were inter changiung all the time. Less so against Soton so I reserve judgement for now. Let's hope it's the answer as the season hots up.

It's a game of opinions obviously....from the NOTW:-

MAN OF THE MATCH - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

The superb Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ruled the show at St. Mary's with a brilliant display up front, (?)
in which he caused Southampton all manner of problems.

The talented Norwegian player created United's second goal, could have won a penalty, and also went close a couple of times himself on a day when he was a constant menace.

:D

They gave him 9 out of 10 - but for supporter appreciation,he should get 10 out of 10. Once again, last player off the pitch, making sure he acknowledged the supporters, as he always does.

Incidentally, I voted for Neville, but how did Diego get two votes??? Is this poll to be taken seriously or what?!

I wonder who have voted Forlan as MOM? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
