FA Cup | Sunday, 07 Jan 07, 14:00 | Old Trafford
------------------------------------------------------

Let's forget about the Newcastle game and start discussing the next match.

Ok; typical that after a bad result we have to wait a week to make a mends but heres how i see the team being

Kuszczak

Brown
Ferdinand
Silvestre
Henzie

Fletcher
Carrick
O'Shea
Park

Solskjaer
Larsson

May be a risk starting with that team but i still see us running out 3-1 winners, Larsson to score 2 and Ole to get the other

Kuszczak
oshea-brown-sylvestre-heinze
park-fletcher-carrick-richardson
-----larsson-ole--------------
2-0 United larsson and ole. ferdinand needs the break.

---------------------Kuzsczak--------------------

--Brown-------Vidic--------Rio-------------Evra---

--Park----------Fletcher---Scholes--------Giggs--

-------------------Ole-----Larsson--------------

Prediction:2-1 Ole2

Fergie confirmed yesterday that Ole and Henrik will play upfront on sunday

I think the experience they've got over the years makes them better partnership now than it would have been ten years ago.

Be funny to see what happens if they both score one or more each. Surely you couldn't break up that partnership.

Hopefully Rossi is on the bench as well.

Rooney should be rested, he should not even be a sub I think. The premiership is more important for us.

Has Fergie said anything about if he will rest players against Villa? I know he said Larsson and Ole will play upfront.

I expect Ronnie, Wayne, Giggs, Evra, Scholes and VDS to get a rest.

Team:

---------------------Kuzsczak------------------

Nev-------Brown--------Vidic----------Heinze-

Park------Carrick------Fletcher--------Giggs--

-----------Ole---------Larsson-----------------

3-0 with Larsson to nab at least one.

This game comes in a right time for us. It won't be as important as our league ties, and we have two weeks before next league clash which happens to be Villa at home also, so two weeks of rest for our best players should serve them well.

After our last away draw to Reading we had two weeks to rebuild our form also, and we did fairly well as after come-back we won like seven games in a row. Hopefully this time we'll do the same.

I'd rest Ronaldo, Scholes, Vidic, Giggs and Gary. The rest can play, especially Rooney who needs to find the net as soon as possible.

Ferguson has already said the two Scandinavians will start upfront.

Id go for this line up
---------Kuzsczak---------
Wes---Vidic--Silvestre--Heinze
Fletch---O Shea---Carrick--Park
---Larsson-------Ole----------

7th of January is my name day.

If anyone wanted to know.

------------------Kuzsczak-------------------

Brown------O'Shea------Silvestre-------Heinze

Ole--------Fletcher------Richardson------Park

------------Rossi---------Larsson-------------

Play:

-------van der Sar------
Neville--Rio--Vidic--Evra
Ronaldo-Carrick-Scholes-Giggs
------Larsson-Solskjaer---

I would go for a rather strong team, would be stupid to think it's an easy win. We should play a team close to our strongest XI (if not the strongest) and go for the FA Cup aswell.

Although I'd like to see Rossi playing in the game

Swap Park for Giggs (who's looked tired) and maybe Brown for Neville and that would be my team.

Hopefully Rossi is on the bench and gets a run out.

--------Kuzsczak
Brown--Rio--Vidic--Evra
Fletcher--Carrick--Scholes--Park
------Larsson--Solskjaer

Bench: VDS, Tweety, O'shea, Ronaldo, Rossi

-Rio and Vidic need to gel again after only playing together once in the last three games.
-going to need a strong side so Evra, Carrick and Scholes have to be included.
-Kuzsczak needs a game

Good point.

Even though its an important game and where not in the business of playing people through sympathy, he might start wondering why he's made the move and it will only affect his confidence long term.

Good team Danny. I think Heinze will play instead of Evra. Fergie rotate them, so I think it's Heinze who will get the chance now, and to keep him happy. Hope he not leave the club.

------------------------Kuszczak----------------------
-Brown------Ferdinand---------------Vidic-------Heinze
Fletcher------Scholes---------------Carrick------Giggs-
--------------Larsson--------------Solskjaer-----------

Subs: VDS, Silvestre, Richardson, Ronaldo, Rossi

Rest: Neville, Evra, Rooney

my prediction is 2-0 for United what ever the line up is

Realistic:

PIG

Nev Rio Brown Evra

Fletch Carrick Scholes Ronnie

Ole Larsson

I wish:

PIG

Nev Brown Heinze Sly

Fletch Carrick Scholes Richie

Ole Larsson

I think Park will play. Fergie knows we'll need him this season and he doesn't want to knock his confidence (doh), he praised him after a horrible performance against Newcastle.
Heinze will play for sure too.

I expect sth like this:

-----Kuzschak
Brown-Rio-Vidic-Heinze
Ronaldo-Scholes/Fletcher-Carrick-Park
-----Ole-Larsson

A tight match, nothing like our last 3-0 win probably. And hopefuly Larsson will play well.

Pole In Goal!

feck, completely forgot about Keanoland, oh well, stealthedit time

What do you think the team will be? Will Fergie rest players?

I go for this team.

- - - - Larsson - Solskjaer - - - -
Park - O'Shea - Carrick - Fletcher
Heinze - Vidic - Ferdinand - Brown
- - - - - - Kuszczak - - - - - - -

Subs: VDS - Evra - Ronaldo - Scholes - Richardson

We should win this game even with this team, Villa are missing Mellberg and probably Gardner as well.

Rooney - Should rest until next week.
Giggs - We need a fresh Giggs until may.
Scholes - hopefully a unused sub on sunday.
Neville - should get a break because he will probably play every game in the premiership and CL.
Kuszczak - our backup keeper should get a chance.
