I always like the build up to any United v Liverpool game. Two great teams with a long history and achievements .... yes, yes Liverpool have 5 European Cups etc etc

I would go with the same team.

This isn't the type of game for Vidic to make his debut in seeing as he hasn't played since November. Evra hasn't had enough time/played the right match to settle into the team.

MU tend to play some very good football against good teams, the problem is when we have to play teams from the bottom half of the table. I think we´ll get away with 3 nice points, 2-1. RVN, Giggsy
 
not sure about this game i think it will be very scrappy but united will scrap a 2-1 win and probably someone like ferdinad will score the winning goal

I dont rate Riley...he is a poor ref....and this thing about him favouring United...everytime the ABUs complain, he doesnt give anything for us even if we deserve it.

would prefer Poll...at least he tries to be fair.....though he not all that hot either.

Last I heard Garcia was out with a knee injury so I guess Rafael will probably want to play Gerrard on the right anyway. Is Sissoko likely to go the African Cup of Nations though? I haven't heard anything about that.

Yeah, reports say Garcia will miss the game through injury. Probably work to their favour as well with Gerrard on the right against our LB.
 
Better for us to go into this game without Garcia, he's less influential away from home.

I'd play Cisse down the right personally, and allow Gerrard and Alonso to link up in the middle and destroy your excuse for a midfield.

nah, id rather have gerrard and sissoko both in, and see some tackles flying around.

should be a good match for sissoko, as long as he isnt booked too early in.

hot atmosphere, tackles flying in. he'll be quality. and a great ball winner, which is what we need away from home.

Another is that Alonso and Gerrard in the middle wouldnt give Fletcher and Smith a look in....

Yeah i feel the same way.

I suppose even a half fit Scholes is alot better then a centre midfield pairing of Fletcher and Oshea.

Smith and Fletcher along with Scholes had no trouble containing Makelele, Lampard and Essien. Why would they have trouble with Gerrard, Alonso and Sissisko?

Fletcher had no trouble helping Scotland get a one all draw over Italy against Gattuso, Pirlo and Cameronese, in fact Lippi singled him out for praise saying "Players like Fletcher make it hard for us to get any rythem going".

One off games are not a problem for Fletch or us, we usually rise and play to the occasions. It's our constantcy that lets us down.

However I'm sure these facts won't stop you replying to this post with the usually :lol: or :wenger: though.


2-1 us, although you'll go on to finish second in the League.

Next season will be a different story though.
