Man Utd v Liverpool

Dies anyone think that the rio giggsy midfield combo may have been tried with a reason v burton? 3 MF out - we are not in a position to carry that - just wondered if this is why rio got a run out in the week..

Didn't watch the Burton game and haven't seen all that much of the mancs...

But isn't doing that potentially weakening a strong area (vidic being an unknown) to patch up a weak one?

As an aside.. I hate Norman Whiteside. Just thought I'd mention it

I'm stuck in Washington DC and I'm going out of my head trying to find one place in this shithole showing the game tomorrow. Anyone got any idea where to go. Dont mess with me now. I'm going mad:wenger:

cant see the scouse scoring at OT they'll come looking for a draw

and i fear they'll get it

unless rooney goes and does something stupidly fantastic

0-0

RvN to score from the penalty spot before HT to make it 1:0.
Hyypia to equalise in the 2nd half...

Rooney to score a spectacular volley in the dying seconds of the game...

2:1

A late winner would be marvellous, yet I don't have enough patience to wait till the dying minutes and I'm too nervous to watch us defending 1-0 lead so let's make it 3-0 before half time.

I'll ask on the liverpool sites for you...

This is what came back..

This would be your best bet and should be a good crowd as well. Just outside D.C. and fairly good food as well. I will be watching from home on the plasma.

3-0 before half time and ole to score a late goal

I have a bad feeling about this:nervous:

With all the problems in our midfield right now, Norman would probably add something to it even now. Kick Gerrard off the park, just like the old days!! Keep him on for 80 mins, bring on Ole for the last 10 and with seconds to go OGS scores the winner..... Every scousers dream I guess.

I used to look forward to these games, but of late they've become little more than a boring homage to the battles of old between these two old rivals. It would be sweet to have a winner in this fixture, but I'd be very suprised if we do...

If Liverpool come here to win then it will be a battle of epic proportions. If they come here to draw then it's going to be a boring. I have a feeling they might be up for it, considering all the "If we beat them it will signal the end of an era" bullshit that's been spouted. Benitez, always the thinker though, however, may consider himself to be in pole position for second place and a Draw would suit them more that us.

I hope for Football's sake Liverpool come here to win. English Football's popularity thrives on these fixtures being fast, attacking, hard fought games, and before the scouse say anything I will conceed we were as much to blame for the snoozefest at Anfield earlier in the year.

I think it might actually get a bit tasty today. The last match was sterile as feck, this will be better, and I bet a good deal more physical as well. Strong and all as their defence has been, they won't meet many better sides going forward than us at home....if we're up for it, that is. Which we surely will be, seeing as we have to go for it.

Or more so

If we're bring reality into it

The reality is, it's up to the home team to take the initiative. Neither team went for the jugular that day.

We didn't no, but I've never seen you so negative....in recent years anyway

Yes...usually I get well nervous before we play the dippers. It's a measure of how modest our ambitions now are, that I'll be fairly happy today as long as Smithy kicks people

I too seem to take an obscene amount of joy from seeing Smithy getting stuck in...can't really explain it.

Also, he looks like my nephew a bit, and although he's a bit of a thug, he deosn't say a great deal (being 2) and people can't help but like him.

Agreed, it was pathetic. If I remember correctly Is wasn't too long after that we were chanting for our formation back.

However, we were no more to blame than you, takes two to tango and all of that.

Sissisko vs Smith will be interesting. Fletcher Vs Kewell or Gerrard will be, well, interesting. O'Shea Vs Alonso will be, well, umm :nervous:

I bet you Smithy kicks more people, and harder

No chance

Momo makes 3 times as many tackles as anyone else...most of them late

There's nothing quite like it...you think "no, he can't just blatantly obviously rush accross the park and scythe that bloke down just for taking the ball off him"...and then he does, and your spirit soars.

Smithy that is, not your nephew

It's even funnier when he misses the ball and creams someone ,then get's up whilst the other player is lying motionless on the floor and swears at the Ref like it was the worst call in football history and then at the other player like he took a dive.

Can you bet on whether or not there'll be a red card shown in the match...not for any particular player or anything, or time of the match, just a red card during the game?

for 1 red card in the match 5/1
for 2 and more 8.5/1

Probably

You can bet onbuy or sell the card make up.

As an example, spread is 50-54. 10 points per yellow, 25 per red

That is a spastic bet in the extreme

And also a indicator as to why it's such a profitable hobby

A mate of mine is a manc and he is still absolutely convinced that Smith will one day do something extremely costly to united then rip off his Man Utd shirt to reveal a Leeds one and start kissing the badge and celebrating.

Think he might be being a little paranoid myself but it'd make me laugh

If I was Fergie I would start Vidic. He's 6'5 or something and a machine in the air. Crouch would get decimated, probably.

Davo said:
Is Vidic any good?

Apparently; he'd give Crouch a torrid time. Very aggressive and proactive defender, with decent pace - if Brown doesn't start, he should.
