Ole, Ronaldo x2

Hope Navas is playing for Sevilla he is a great prospect

It's nice of you to give him that compliment, because he thinks you're great as well.

It's true. In fact, Jesus loves you all.

Not true, in fact the last time i spoke to him he called me a cnut....

All i did was tell a joke about jesus crossing the ball:rolleyes:

You'd think he'd be able to laugh about it by now

Could you make our logo bigger than theirs? It`s got to be bad luck having their logo bigger than ours...

I reckon he's pissed off at all the people wearing crosses round their necks.

I'm off to put a poster up outside my local church that says 'Jesus doesn't love you. In fact, he thinks you're a cnut'.

This game is on GoalTV1 on Tv Ants at 3pm, just like the other preseason games

I'll be there too, sitting right up on the second row. Should mean it'll be better than my experience thus far of watching preseason, i.e. dodgy streaming and SSN highlights.

Kanoute v Rooney

Power: Rooney is strong. But Kanoute wins narrowly--he is difficult to dispossess especailly when holding the ball or competing for it physically.

Aerial: Kanoute wins, he is a monster and lays balls to team-mates. Rooney lacks here

Age: Rooney is a talent at 20 Kanoute is 28. Rooney has the edge here to develop.

Technique: Both are technically strong

Skill: Kanoute wins--he is able to manipulate the ball effecively and under control (i.e flip flaps and kanu like skills to outfox his opponent) Rooney has lost possession through dribbles for MU too much

Goalscoring: Both are on the same level-good not prolific also take into account Kanoute plays for a weak side in Sevilla.

Speed: Kanoute is fast, Rooney is possibly not as quick.

Versatility: Kanoute is able to use the wings well. He plays like Henry-is able to drift and attack defences. Rooney has not shone for MU on the wings. However he did well in the FA cup final.

Potential Rooney wins here.

Shooting/ Technique Both excel here. Rooney has possibly more power but Kanoute's shooting technique is unbelievable. He has a snap-shot tecnique--remember that goal against Leeds 2003-2004 were he was back to goal flicked the ball up and smashed a volley.Or the goal against City.

At the moment there is not much between them. The stats of them over the last 2 years is revealing

Will Kanoute play 45 minutes for Sevilla and 45 for United or what´s the deal?

Power: Rooney is one of the most powerful players certainly in the Premiership. This is one of the reasons Rooney blasted onto the scene at such a young age, because he wasn't going to start getting pushed about. Kanoute is nothing like. Rooney wins.

Aerial: Kanoute wins.

Age: Rooney still has 6-7 years to improve on the immense talent he already has.

Technique: Rooney's technique is immense. The power he gets behind the ball, his volleys, his first touch are all second to only Ronaldinho and possibly Zidane. Rooney wins.

Skill: Rooney also has immense skill but doesn't showboat like Ronaldo. He uses it effectively but only in glimpses. Kanoute, has skill but is not in the same class.

Goalscoring: Both are on the same level-good not prolific. Even at Tottenham Kanoute only got 14 goals in 60 matches.

Speed : Rooney is very very fast. I think it was David Moyes once said he has never seen anyone so fast over a 100 metres. If anything Kanoute is slower.

Versatility: Both are versatile.

Shooting/ Technique : Already done this, but check Rooney's double against Middlesborough in the FA cup a couple of seasons ago, or his goal against Newcastle last season, among many others.

Rooney is the far better player.
