19:00 Champions League Live
Dinamo Bucharest v Manchester United

Gabby Logan presents live coverage of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, first-leg clash between Dinamo Bucharest (Romania) and Manchester United. Alex Ferguson's side will be aware of the pitfalls of this stage of the competition, the last step before the lucrative group stage. Two years ago they lost the way leg against unfancied Hungarians Zalaegerszegi before prevailing at Old Trafford for a 5-1 win on aggregate. The second leg of tonight's tie is due to take place in two weeks' time.

thanks m8

but why aint it on itv1 for normal veiwers usually are?getting worried there!

Football - Live [from itv .com]
Coverage of two Premiership matches. Starting with Everton v Arsenal at Goodison Park, kick-off 2.00pm. Teenage striker Wayne Rooney announced his arrival on the big stage with a cracking 25-yard, last-minute winner in the corresponding fixture two years ago. Since then the stock of the Toffees' prized asset has risen considerably and has been the subject of much transfer speculation over the summer. Followed by Chelsea v Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, kick-off 4.05pm. New Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho got the better of Alex Ferguson in the Champions League, with previous club Porto last season, but has yet to taste the full intensity of Premiership football. With so many summer acquisitions to bed in, Mourinho's priority target of wresting the title away from Arsenal could be put in perspective come the final whistle.

There will be an estimated 2,000 Man Utd fans at the game (and about 68,000 Romanians :p ).

The tickets are almost sold out...With all the injured Man Utd players, Andone (the Dinamo coach) is getting mroe and more confident. He is certain Dinamo will win in Bucharest...

Andone will be with Dinamo for a long time, even if Dinamo gets thrashed in both legs. There is no pressure on him to win this game. Everyone knows it is a long shot.

So the local market will have to wait for a while.

However, we have a lot of gypsies in Romania that we'd be happy to send to you guys at any time. :D Nobody wants to hire them here, but the local market in England would be a step up for them

First all the injuries then you mention gypsies, can it get worse???

Five Live usually doesn't feed their CL games on the internet, do they? This is a qualifier, so I wonder who will do it.

DOes anybody know of a video feed, or at least a radio one that is confirmed as having the match?

Why am I really fearing the worst on this one.

If its a dodgy pitch then we will struggle, I just forsee another dis-jointed performance. We need this more or less off our minds, if we draw or lose then it's going to be on the players minds over the games at Chelsea and Norwich, which isnt what we want.

I doubt that stadium seats 70,000

Maybe it 'seats' 35,000, and everybody else sits on someone's lap.

It does look small from those pics to hold 70,000.

Please don't tell me they double pack it, and there's going to be 70,000 drunken Romanians smashed together into a stadium half the size of the crowd, with those horrible flare things all alight.

Definitely a time to play experience. Poor Jonathan Spector would probably crap his mullet if he saw that.

It can be scary playing over there. I hope this isn't one of those sort of experiences.

ROM National Stadium Multi-use Bucuresti Stadionul Lia Manoliu
capacity: 65 000
built: 1953
seats: 45 000

Here's the squad that travelled:

Goalies:
Tim Howard, Roy Carroll, Ricardo

Defenders:
Gary Neville, Phil Neville, John Oshea, Quinton Fortune, Mikael Silvestre, Jonathan Spector, Phil Bardsley

Midfielders:
Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane, Eric Djemba-Djemba, Liam Miller, Darren Fletcher, David Bellion, Kieran Richardson, Paul Scholes, Chris Eagles

Forwards:
Alan Smith, Diego Forlan

I doubt that Miller will play straight away considering his match-fitness. I believe that our midfield will be like this:

Fletcher, Keane, Djemba, Giggs

With Scholes in front of them and Smith alone in attack.

Ok, Miller is going to play right wing then.

Not a good idea if you ask me, we rushed Ruud back and he got a Hernia. Miller has no match practice.

Yep, that's pretty much it...

Don't worry there will be a special section for drunken British fans as well, and the security personnel will watch over them. I doubt there will be any violence at this game. However, it will be very loud...

PS. Once your fans will see some of the girls in Bucharest they'll wanna come back next year again.....Just ask the Southampton fans...

By the way the highest attendance in that stadium was 80,000 (drunken Romanians)
The game was Romania-Italy 1-0 (in 1983 I believe)....

What I think SAF will do:

-------------------Howard----------------------
P. Nev-------G. Nev--------Silvestre---------JOS

----------------DJx2-------Keano---------------
Fletcher------------Scholes----------------Giggs

--------------------Smith-----------------------

What I would do:

-------------------Howard----------------------
Bardsley-----G. Nev--------Spector-----Silvestre

----------------DJx2-------Keano---------------
Fletcher-------------Scholes---------------Giggs

---------------------Smith----------------------

I doubt it tomorrow. As an aside I fell asleep on the settee last night and woke up to see Channel 5 replay last season's Celtic-Hibs cup match (!!). Miller had a very useful box-to-box game. I think Sunday's game was a virtually run-out for tomorrow night, but so long as he's fit Fletcher will get the pick over the ever-disappointing Bellion.

Tomorrow night:

Howard; Gary, O'Shea, Silvestre, Fortune; Fletcher, DJ2, Keane, Giggs; Scholes, Smith.

Carroll, Phil, Forlan, Spector, Bardsley, Eagles, Bellion.

Miller there for the experience, and just in case.

I think Sunday's game was a virtually run-out for tomorrow night.

Your team has landed safely in Bucharest.

Alex Ferguson smiled when asked about Dinamo but offered no commets.
The players refused to offer comments about the game as well, however, some did offer autographs whenever requested.

At the moment there is a press conference taking place at the Hilton Hotel where Man Utd is staying.

Giggs went to the bathroom and was briefly lost in the airport:

Romanian security forces did not allow those "Drunken Romanians" anywhere near the players...
