Man Utd vs Porto

Great. 3 (friendly) points with two men sent off, can't say no to that. Let's just hope the FA let Rooney go, but seeing how he's the target of everyone who has the authority to do something in order to prevent him from playing, who knows?

Jeez.

Is it just me, or was Evra absolutely gash (even more so than usual) tonight? He was selling himself way too easily, caught out of position and failed to even try to close Pepe down for the Porto goal.

It's only you...

I don't understand people having a go at Evra. I think he's done well this pre season. Defensively he does need to tighten up but going forward and linking up with play he's been effective. no complaints here

i didn't know that you could get bans for sendings off in friendlies.
it never seems to happen to other clubs.
anyone remember a premiership player being banned for a pre-season sending - off/booking ??? i can't.
anyway, give the FA a chance to shit on United, and they will, especially if they can disadvantage english, they seem to love that too.

cnut referee better drop that Rooney card to a yellow. No way it was a red.

Apparently he was interviewed on Dutch tv afterwards and said he'd watched the incident again a couple of times and that he was right. The mind boggles.

It does atleast show that the team are up and raring to go, players are hitting some form and a few of last years injury list are back, scoring and playing good football. There might of been two red cards on the day but there wasn't any serious injuries and the team are better for the run.
Atleast we didn't lose by 5 like Liverpool.

I'll tell you again: portuguese players are at the top of my cnut list

And i promise you : we will see this scenario again
and again

and again

Can anyone tell me was it Lee Martin that pass to Richardson that led to Ole's goal? Cos I didn't think Fletcher's that good.

Not surprising. It's in his best interest whichever way one look at it.

This is the game where I watch Foster for the first time, and in my opinion he had a good game, hope that he will become a starter against Ajax.

Haha.. Sometimes it really baffles me, cos every single goal that we concede, will always be down to Evra's fault. Seriously, i thought he had a very good game, especially with his runs down the left. However, he do need to be more composed on the ball, and heads the ball better. Great improvement so far.
