City's back 5 could be the most expensive ever assembled:
Ederson (£35 million)
Mendy (£52 million), Otamendi (£32 million), Stones (£50 million), Walker (£50 million)

Hope you can see that spending money you earned and spending money an owner invested are two different things. And Im not sure if United really spended the most either tbh. Or significantly more than the other rich clubs in the PL.Who cares how much city or any other team spends on players, in the past United was the king in the PL they had more money than the rest but then thing changes and people are acting like the smaller team fans used to react with United.
Lacks balance in midfield imo, and they wont get Sanchez. And I think Aguero will lose his place. Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Stones, Mendy, Fernandinho/Yaya, Gundodan/Yaya, David Silva/De Bruyne, De Bruyne/David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus seems okay. With Aguero, Sane, Sterling on the bench. So what's their strongest XI for next season? (excuse me if I miss someone out, they have like 67 players)
Ederson
Kompany
Stones
Walker
Mendy
Fernandinho
De Bruyne
B. Silva
Alexis Sanchez
G. Jesus
Aguero
Something like that? Ridiculous.
Thiago Silva + David Luiz + Kurzawa + Marquinos + Trapp is probably £140m.I actually wouldn't be surprised if this group was twice as expensive as any other back five ever assembled.

Well I personally think it's inevitable.Where did Sanchez come from?
Add Walker to that. Think they are gonna play with a 3-4-2-1 formation.City's back 5 could be the most expensive ever assembled:

Buried, walked over, hidden from sight... haven't really thought it through have they.
It's already been dug up. The company that was responsible is being rinsed through online reviews.
I hope it was worth it for them. http://www.thomsonlocal.com/Gatley-Surfacing-Company-Ltd/1632858/01619808805/
Life is far too short to take stuff like this seriously. I honestly could not care less if there is a Manchester United shirt or a signed picture of Roy Keane for that matter under our stadium.

And you can afford to keep Bernardo, Sané and Sterling on the bench. Incredible depth.Strange kind of 352 tonight v Spurs but another pretty good performance, should have been 6 or 7 nil instead of 3.
Last couple of games its been 3 at the back. Will be strange if we stick to that with only 3 CB's on the books.
Think the team we could see for game one of the season is shaping up to be
---------------------Ederson-----------------------
------------Stones--Kompany--Otamendi------------
Walker----------------------------------------Danilo
-------------------Fernandinho----------------------
--------------KDB---------------Silva D-------------
----------------------------------------------------
-------------Jesus---------------Aguero------------
Also notable in those 3 games (United loss, Real and Spurs win) we've been much more direct with the ball. Topping out at 55% possesion against United and only around 50-50 v Spurs and Madrid. Change of tact from Pep against the stronger teams maybe?
Expect them to go for van Dijk. Pep doesn't do low key even for back up full back so can't see him doing it for the spine.Interesting to see which CB Pep will target now that he's said they'd like to bring one in. Another 50m addition or someone low-key this time?
What would that mean for Stones then? I doubt he'll drop Kompany and Otamendi, provided they stay fit throughout the season.Expect them to go for van Dijk. Pep doesn't do low key even for back up full back so can't see him doing it for the spine.
Doubt Pep cares. He's building to win the title. In any case, kompany's fitness is way too dodgy, stones will get plenty of games. What would that mean for Stones then? I doubt he'll drop Kompany and Otamendi, provided they stay fit throughout the season.
Bit risky creating a whole new back line. 3 new full backs, new keeper and now a new centre half...dint think I've seen any top team do that before. Surely there must be a clearly coming too.Expect them to go for van Dijk. Pep doesn't do low key even for back up full back so can't see him doing it for the spine.
Well, that was always going to happen at City this season. Their FBs have needed an upgrade for a while now and Bravo ended up becoming the problem instead of solving it last season. The clear up has already happened, they released them all before even starting the purchases.Bit risky creating a whole new back line. 3 new full backs, new keeper and now a new centre half...dint think I've seen any top team do that before.
