More like guard of dishonor.
City have shot themselves in the foot.
They're a club who are so wounded by the past, so bitter and upset about how they've been in the shadow of Manchester United for so long. Now that they are here in the big time, they're too scarred from the past, too twisted to enjoy themselves, they would rather spend the time gloating about they success that they feel they now deserve, rather than going out and actually concentrating on achieving the success. They thought they were already quadruple winners in February. Comical
At United, they were banned from discussing a possible treble, right up until the eve of the Champions League final! Yet City's captain and leader, is spouting in the press that "it's a matter of time before we win the quadruple this season".
Every time City go and perform on the pitch and achieve something, all I appear to be able to read online from their fans are bitter, angry, aggressive posts towards Manchester United rather than being happy for themselves and for their own success. Like a little brother trying to outperform his successful older brother for years and finally having the ability to do it, and instead of enjoying the rewards of success, just proceeds to gloat and look like a child.
Sorry state of affairs.
A loss can be a win:
They’ll beat Arsenal.
Serious question: Do they give out free tickets and shirts to aspiring British models? The few times they've dared to zoom in on their crowd, they were classic brit tarts who looked like they weren't there for what was happening on the pitch.

So looks like they aren't the best team in PL history then. It's almost as if winning trophies is the most difficult part and not playing 'good football'.
LoL they will win the league tho.
The invisibles and United treble teams are the best English teams ever, then can be followed by some Chelsea teams like 2005-2006, 2010, United 2008, then yeah can put City this season and Chelsea last season as numbers 6 and 7, but regarding top 2 a team will need to achieve something remarkable to beat the invisibles and the treble team.

They've got the highest ever points total in the history of English top flight football after 27 games. They're on 72 at this stage of the season. Second best in history is Chelsea, who got 69 in 05/06 at this point of the campaign. By way of comparison, our Treble winners only reached 79 all season. There is literally a league winner every single season, you will get a domestic double every few years, a PL + CL double is very rare and a treble is a once in a lifetime achievement.
There was this idea that City are the best team ever because of the football they play; the reality is that they have been grinding out wins for 2-3 months (remember when they were scoring late goals every other game?) and now they are coasting in games.
I'm not even sure if this City team are top 5 in PL history; I would consider mutliple United, Arsenal and Chelsea teams above them. United and Arsenal in the 90s, United and Arsenal in the early 2000s, Chelsea 2004-07, all played fantastic football and won more.
"There are a lot of poets in football but poets they don't win many titles". Jose Mourinho May 2017
Wasnt there an tweet recently on how Pep took defeat with respect and that Jose should take notes![]()

This is strange to quote considering Pep (assuming we don't meltdown) will win his 7th league title since 2008 this season.
i don't think this was about pep at all actually. I think he was having a dig at the press or the former players on TV when he said this.
I think Jose said him and pep are the same in the fact they just both want to win everything they enter.
EDIT: It may also have been about southgate when he left smalling out. I can't remembver
Kept grating me. Had to point this out. Invincibles, not Invisibles.
