He has basically won everything. I would do the same. But he has not proven to be as good as he was at Barca at Bayern and City.
He needs to have the right players. That's it. He tried to play tiki-taka with Lahm and Alaba as midfielders.I'm sure he will prove himself again. He just won't steam roll the league like many people (not me) thought he would.

Exactly. You especially lack midfielders capable of a good high pressing like Guardiola wants.I said that before. The players aren't capable of the football he's trying to play, and he comes across as too arrogant to change his approach.
(I'm out of posts for the day)
think this is the root of itI'd be amazed if he changes his approach. He seems to really strongly believe in it and I don't think it is humanly possible to win this league by playing this kind of football. I could be wrong, but I don't think they can do it under Pep. Also, and this is a genuine observation, he looks genuinely very unimpressed with Man City as a club, for all the talk about how frustrated and unhappy Jose has looked.. why aren't the same people turning their attention to Pep?
His picking from a very limited pool of players that can play the kind of game he wants. The modern football manager needs to be more adaptable, especially in this league.
Cant really blame him, he's managed two historical clubs before this and is now at a plastic 'project' with poor fans. Must be incredibly underwhelming.think this is the root of it

Agreed, as I posted earlier it's not a bad season and averaging over 2 PPG in the first half of the season is fine.
The media are cnuts though, and alienating them won't help his cause.
The interview is seriously unimpressive, but the retirement remarks are just plain weird. Why on earth would you say that right now?
As someone said earlier, it looks like he's landing a plane. Not surprising that he's looking to retire in a few years. I've always thought his wild gestures on the sidelines looked deranged, it's probably due to stress.

Certainly not impressed with the fans. Called them out multiple times this season.I'd be amazed if he changes his approach. Get your point. it's a cheap shot at City fans. But I was having a look at bluemoon and they too have an issue with the atmosphere at the stadium. But guess most big clubs in England, have the same issue. This is exactly why city fans feel f##ked over with sky and the bbc. Klopp does that 40 times a game and the response was subdued at anfield vs city. Not a word, pep does it and it's funny. Nothing against Klopp or Liverpool but it's the media narrative with us. De Bruyne did the same and in better view, outside of where he took the corner nothing either. Blue moon and the idiot brigade aren't helping and the minority of idiots are playing right into city fans turn on pep narrative.
the first time Klopp done it he was quoted ' I felt very alone' when Liverpool fans were down in the dumps. He really can't stand themPep hates his own fans.
There is a huge issue. We are not yet a big enough club for 50k supporters in the stadium. There is an old guard of idiots on bm who spout bile and over react to everything because of not our firm but Chelsea. They hyped pep up as the 2nd coming and he has always said he's been lucky to have the players he had at Barca and bayern. Those with a clue know that pep is a great manager but one of many worldwide and this would be his toughest test which he's probably scoring a b or c on atm.
ManCity are actually quite "patient" with their managers. Mancini was the coach for 4 years and Pellegrini was only sacked after 3 years because they had the chance to sign Guardiola.I asked this question on twitter today and I'd like to put it to you. What happens to Pep if you don't make the top 4?
Kind of hard to hype up empty seats
