Manchester City v Manchester United

SAF: Rooney still not 100%. Better than before the Bayern game though.

Valencia will rip Bridge up & create loads of chances, Rooney will be too sharp for their CB's...I'm going for 3-1 to us.

He makes them 9 games out of 10 according to the match-day threads.

Personally the only reason I'd have Nani over Giggs is because he didn't look fully match fit last week. I've no doubt that a fully fit Giggs can still do damage, it's just that if you look at Nani in some of the bigger games this season, such as Arsenal and Bayern, he's really performed.

I could never be a footballer, I'm nervous just watching never mind walking out of the tunnel.

That and I'm not very good at football.

the bulgarian is really in the shithouse then. ffs, 2nd match where a 'semi-fit' rooney is picked over a 30.75 million quid striker.

Say what you want but a semi fit Rooney would be picked ahead of most strikers just for his impact.

ESPN numpty on City fans: They are the real fans of Manchester.

Yeah, he deserved to start really. Let's hope he gets a half hour or so in the second half.

Christ I'm nervous.

UNITED!

Come onnnnnnn

Scholes to play further up please, Fletcher and Gibson to sit a bit and protect.

Selection feck up or not remains to be seen. Still, 6 players in the starting XI coming through the ranks is great to see.

I'd take a 3-0 lead with Rooney hobbling after 30 minutes again.

More worried about Evans tbh.
