Manchester City v Manchester United

Are we not? They are having the ball for large periods and we seem to be feeding off scraps whilst they have all their men pushed right up constantly

We've had the better chances, most notably from Rooney and Giggs, who would've both put those away on another day. All they've had is Tevez free kick. Pretty sure we've had slightly more possession too.

We haven't been at our best but to say we've been dominated is just crazy.

We had 53% of the possession first half. They're passing it around, but aren't creating much of anything. They had the Tevez freekick, and that's about it. We've had multiple chances. They maybe getting some space on the counter, but we're getting back in time to stop it.

Nani on for Gibson, shift Giggs centrally behind Rooney, Fletch and Scholes have more than enough to boss the midfield....Valencia as usual has been excellent, what a signing hes been he has everything, pace, quality final ball, works back to help the full back, great player.

Isn't it 9 goals in past 12 starts? 12 goals in 21 starts in the league this season, playing off the striker. Compare that to Gerrard/Lampard when discounting penalties.

Giggs has been consistently poor for a month or two.

Berbatov has been poor for the last two years.

57% possession and 6 shots to 2 suggests otherwise.

We're doing all right, just too many flicks from Giggs in good positions. And we all know what a second-half animal that lad is...

Would like to see Evra get forward more as Fletcher's covering the left

Cannot do anything but agree with you. Fletcher has ended up drifting out to the left a few times. May as well get Nani on and have some proper width.

that was an excellent half from the lads. we are controlling the game as much as can be expected away from home in such a big derby and scholes is a cut above in midfield. giggs has put in a great shift despite it not quite happening for him up front. but he is trying things and sooner or later something will come off. think people on here should concentrate on the fact that our lads are in control of a game many thought we would struggle in.

a little more luck upfront and we will get the goal our play deserves. Come on United

i hope so
though we were in control at Blackburn and see what happened

Whiff of the Chelsea away game this.

Doing alright, shit ref, not taking chances, Lack a bit of bite up front to ruin an otherwise sound performance.

COME ON UNITED!

Good summary that.

Considering how negative everyone's been about our chances all week, never mind the "Giggs! Oh noes!!!" pre-match comments, I'm surprised not more people are pleased.

Giggs this season usually has been poor/average in first half, he tends to raise his game in the second half, let's see what happens

Yeah Giggs is coming off that flank to often and weve really only got Evra out there providing us with any consistent width, i think Nani should have started regardless but definetly would have him on now.

Gibson is getting right on my tits!

We need to exploit the flanks a bit more by bringing on Nani and using Valencia more, this will give more space for Scholes to dictate play.
