Manchester City vs. Manchester United

Starting to think it's just not Berba's day, most unlike him to miscontrol that ball near the end. His hold up is good though so not sure a straight swap will work, hmmm decisions for SAF unless something happens soonish

He just needs a hug at half time and be reminded thatnhe is a world class striker who the top scorer inn the whole of England this season.

Nice cup of tea and a mars bar will sort him out

Carrick playing well. Very cagey half almost sparring. Think we should sub scholes for anderson or giggs. Berba needs to forget the second chance the first was a great save. Come on reds!!!

Scholes didn't exactly play badly.. It's a difficult one who we'll sub off, IMO it'll be only after the hour, and it'll depend on how Berba's clears his head.

IMO it could be Chicharito or giggsy for park at some point; but Park has played quite well and he's one you'd expect to nick something at some point, so I'm not sure he'll be the one to make way either.

If Fergie told him we're playing at OT he'd score a hat trick.

The annoy thing about Berbatov is that he lose his confidence so quickly and shows his self-pity in his body language

Need to shut down Silva and I doubt City will create anything of note, unless it's a moment of brilliance from Balotelli or whomever.

Going 4-4-2 would probably give Silva too much freedom but I also think Berbatov behind Hernandez would shred City. Park does a great tactical performance but he's not going to control the tempo like Berbatov. With Carrick/Scholes/Nani/Valencia playing well, I believe SAF can come out 4-4-2 to start the second half and United will get a couple goals before the full 90.

For who though?

Parks doing a job, Scholes and Carrick are dominating and we're a weaker team without Nani and Valencia.

For one of Park, Nani or Valencia. Either one or two of these players are going to be playing against Schalke. So giving them some rest should not be a problem.

Sacrifice Park. No doubt he's playing well but as others mentioned but we need to switch to an aggressive 4-4-2. We are looking quite stagnant with Berbatov as a lone striker.

Now is not the time to be thinking about rest!

Berba will be fine, hopefully SAF will just have a little word in his ear and calm him down. He hasn't actually played that badly; of course the sitter, the bash to the face and his last touch of the half haven't helped, but here's hoping to a much better second half.

As for the team's performance, hasn't been too bad, think O'Shea looks a little rusty which is understandable. Rio and Vida have been fairly comfortable and Park just keeps running.

Why switch to 4-4-2? It would give city one more man in the middle to control the midfield.

I removed my post , it was in bad taste and just a spur of the moment posting :(

Don't worry mate. Not aimed just at you, I just think that united fans have been bang out if irderwith berg ever since he joined. He never asked us to pay all that money for him, he went agisnt is club to help us sign him, he is the connsumate professional, he is never onnthe front pages of the tabloids and he is honoured to be at our club. And he is a class player. But he knows when he misses, he gets disproportionate flak, it's not fair on the guy,

That's why I think he'll hold of for as long as he can before going 442. If Hernandez does come on before that, I think it'll be a straight swap.. I don't think we can afford to give Silva the space.

this could go either way, feck we have to score in the 2nd half....

thanks everyone...hopefully we'll see a winner from berbatov.

Who's the brunette sitting in front of Sir Alex?
