Team should be...

GK: De Gea

RB: Rafael
CB: Evans
CB: Ferdinand
LB: Evra

RM: Valencia
CM: Carrick
CM: Scholes
LM: Nani

CF: Rooney
CF: Welbeck

Subs: Amos, Jones, Smalling, Cleverley, Giggs, Young, Hernandez

I'll take a point right now, I suspect one team will win though :nervous:

De Gea
Rafael Evans Rio Evra
Valencia Carrick Scholes Nani
Rooney Welbeck

Same team as today, we just need a feck load of more concentration. Can't see Welbeck being dropped because he was really good these last two games, and our attack was really good today. Our defence needs to really step it up though. Rafael might go on the bench but I'm not sure SAF would want to put a player who hasn't played in a while (smalling) or one who is really off form (jones) in for such a big game, so let's just hope Rafael does well.

The result could go either way really, they're in good form but I trust our team and think we'll get the point we need. If we lose then the title is as good as lost (even though we would be level on points).
Saying that, I think it'll be 1-1, Aguero to score for them and give them the lead then Rooney to equalize for us.

--------------Carrick----Jones------------
Valencia-----------Scholes------------Nani

Subs: Amos, Rafael, Giggs, Young, Cleverley, Welbeck, Chicharito.

Or if Owen is fit, then maybe one of the striker spots on the bench, in place of Chicharito.

0-3 United.

What the feck is up with everyone on here?

I need to start going to matches again so i don't have to log on here immediately after dropped points

I can't see us playing with 2 strikers at the Etihad. It will be a 4-3-3/4-5-1 with Rooney up-top on his own.

We cannot go into playing to avoid defeat. That will undo us like it has in the past. I can see us starting 442 (which we should, team that started today, maybe young for valencia?) and then making changes throughout the game.

I can only hope that Rio and Evans get a grip and perform bettert than they did today
Evans owes us a MOTM display after his performance agasint city earlier in the season aswell

Park the bus and hit them on the break; City have to chase a win.

Not sure Scholes should start this one. He even struggled today to keep up with the tempo. He's brilliant and all but if we play 4-4-2 Scholes in the middle could be too risky defensively.

I like the idea of this starting line up but we need a more physical presence in midfield.

I just hope we don't play 4-4-2 otherwise it's going to be a very long evening.

Hate to say it, but this has all the hallmarks of a bad night...City with the momentum, us frittering away 8 point lead in 2 weeks, City fans and players bang up for it with a big atmosphere at COMS, and that little gobshite Tevez with a point to prove by scoring the decisive goal of the season...Hope I'm wrong but my feelings about this game and the title race are horrible :(

We would create feck all with that line-up and still be overrun in midfield.

I wanted us to be going in at least 4 points ahead, giving us a margin for error. Now its down to 3 points, we have to get a result there. Horrible situation we've created for ourselves considering how good it looked two weeks ago.

Create feck all?!? With Scholes, Giggs, Nani, Valencia and Rooney in the side how much creativity do you want?!?

Jones and Evans as fullbacks wouldnt give us anything going forward and Giggs has been abysmal in his last outings in CM. Also don't like Rooney alone up front.
I'd still stick with Welbeck up front, play Rooney deeper alongside Carrick and Scholes.

The wait for this match is going to do me in. 8 freakin days. The weekend will be shit since its a Monday game as well. And the game itself will probably end up killing me.

Exactly 100% the team I want to start as well.

It won't though :(
