You won't find any arguements here Davo.
We all laughed at Houllier for buying Igor Biscan, Diao, Diouf, Vladimir Smicer, Heskey and Finnan in trying to make the Liverpool squad "younger" (but fecking shite), but this lot would walk into the United first-XI ATM with the players our "richest club in the world" currently (and simultaneously

) utilises.
Really the thing that irks me is why United supporters have to pay twice as much as the likes of Birmingham, Southampton and Fulham's supporters to see a first-XI team marginally worse, not just in terms of form, but also (currently) in quality?
There's nothing wrong with recruiting the likes of Liam Miller to the Manchester United squad, but Manchester United shouldn't therefore be described as the biggest/best/richest club in the world, because currently it isn't - it is the shareholders that are the biggest/best/richest.
I'll support the club whatever direction (upwards or downwards) it DECIDES to take in the coming years, but the current direction doesn't deserve the vast amount of £pounds, dollars, yen, etc is generates.
How many of the young/inexperienced/shite players won us the league last season (or got us to the top this Christmas)? None.
This team (barring injuries±, suspensions^ or summer replacements*) did:
