All signs point to a handy win for United.
We should even rest a few of the big guns.
Which signs are they? Yeah rest all of your big guns and save them for the league, where you can try to consolidate your 3rd place.
COME ON FULHAM!!!!

feck me - are there any threads you won't post in???

Where the feck were you you when we lifted the trophy last May? You weren't seen in every fecking thread then. And I suspect, as soon as Arsenal hit a bad spell, you will disappear as quickly as the rest of the gooners. fecking small-timers.

Perhaps we may want to rest them for the CL game, you know, that competition where you've never made the SF in. ;)

Howard

O'Shea Brown Keane Fortune

Ronaldo Scholes Butt Giggs

Solskjaer van Nistelrooy

No ifs, ands or buts, just get the job done.
Hope the lads make a really determined effort to smash Fulham, although I may be being optimistic.

That should a good line-up although I fancy Phil over Butt.

Would Ole last the full 90 ?

We may need to see Forlan or Kleberson in there somewhere.

Maybe start with Ole and replace him with Kleberson when necessary shifting Scholes to the hole with Kleb in alongside Butt.

Bit of a naive comment, since Fulham have taken 4/6 points from us this season. Never the less, we did look the favourites at Loftus Road, but now they are back at Old Trafford, and no-one (apart from Liverpool) beats United twice at Old Trafford in one season!

If we do rest some guns, we won't even have a starting XI. I think we should have near enough the same squad. Don't take Saha off, he has 4 in 5, and he will have that extra detemination to wreck Fulham!

About time Nistelrooij netted his chances like he did last season, his recent performances have been brilliant, apart from the finishing touch!

Come on United!

This will be the win that lifts United back up. They have to start a run again somehow, and what better chance do we have?!

If Saha plays we'll be wrecked as we'll be disqualifyed. He's cup tied!

The FA Cup is our best chance for a trophy this season. We're two matches from the final. If anyone is rested even I may start questioning the gaffer.

Probably see something like this:

-----------------Scholes-----------------
--O'Shea----Keane--Brown---Fortune--
-----------P Neville---Butt--------------
--Ronaldo-----Kleberson------Giggs----
---------------van Nistelrooy------------

I've put Scholes in goal, based on the pattern of the last few positions he has played in recent matches, he's due a stint in there now.

& with his short little legs he won't let the ball go between them like Carroll & Howard. Tho' Tim "Luck Luck" H got away with it a couple of times.

 Anything good about United must be down to luck, right?

In answer to your rather rude question, I joined this forum just after the handbags at OT last year. I just thought then that the OTT hysterics needed some perspective.
I tend to post on threads where I perceive stupidity, unfounded optimism, and arrogance, when over inflated egos IMO need deflating.
Sorry if you find it annoying, but you have to admit that I am never, ever drawn into posting with profanity, as most of the people who object to me feel that they have to.
And until I get bored I shall continue to post on any thread that I chose.
COME ON FULHAM!!!!

Not really the thread for this Cal. You have won the CL once, as of now we have not. All other seasons we have both lost, no prizes for second, third or fourth place in the CL. ;)

Kleberson and Ronaldo need games, as does Ole.

Ole could do with 45 minutes either from the start or coming on at half time. The quicker we can get him back to match fitness the better, without pushing him too hard.

Fulham are not the strongest in the centre of midfield so it could be a good game for Kleberson to really get a hold of. I think he needs a couple of games where he can dictate the pace and start spreading passes around him and we might start to see some of the world cup winning form.

Won't be an easy game, but if we keep it tight early on and establish a rhythm I think we can get through by 2 or 3 goals.

Don't think Silvestre will make it.

I'd agree that Ole has to start, preferably in tandem with Ruud because he has to get some minutes in as well to make sure he's sharp for Porto. We can then take him off if and when we have it sewn up.

Ronaldo is a must IMO. He gives us exactly what we've been lacking recently.

I wouldn't mind seeing Flethcer play in a supporting role behind the striker(s).
He's got a lot of talent and think he could be a very useful source of goals, but he doesn't convince me as a winger. Maybe the match on Saturday would be a chance to see him in that role.

Ill rest the first team as much as possible

My team would be

Saha cant play, cup tied. If Oshea is fit Id play him at left back with Fortune left wing scholes in the hole Kleb to the right. Obviously Ruud would be upfront.

Eh? You 'kin nutcase!

We cant afford to under-estimate our opposition, and having come this far why should we de-value the competition now?

------------------Howard----------------------
P.Nev------Keane------Wes------Fortune------
C.Ronaldo--Djemba----Scholes---Giggs----------
----------Ole---------RvN----------------------

Giggs is going to have to have a good game here, Malbronque on their right side (I think?) likes to drift inside and cause mayhem, he's going to have to try and nullify his threat IMO.
