I'm starting to wonder about our players and the way they are prepared. Remind me again how much they get paid for staying alert for 90-180 minutes a week and remembering to piss in a pot.

On second thoughts - don't.

What gets me is the fact that Fergie seems to think that Ronaldo can't play twice a week, when I was 18, I used to play football for about 2 hours a day, pretty much every day, so why can't Ronaldo?

He's been quality over the past few games, and yet Fletcher, who TBH has picked up some form, seems to play full games more often than not!

Must be BRian McClair Syndrome!

totally agree...I'm 18 now, and I could play all day...everyday if I was on his wage (and even if I wasn't mind)...but on a lighter note...am loooooving your 'location'!!

I read somewhere that on average in football today, a player runs around 13km a match. That can at times mean a marathon a week. Not good for a young player.

I'm now 24 and given the chance to play for United, I would play pretty much all the time, extra training, everything, and I'd probably do it just for the fun of it! Maybe expenses and a few beer tokens!

Which bit? the Biggus Dickus bit? Watched the Life of Brian t'other day! Class Film!

Nowt much going on in the game is there!!

13km is about 8 miles, so it's not even a third of a marathon!

24 miles is close enough. Reckon you could run 24 miles every week in a competitive situation?

If I could spend all day every day training then yes I could!

Does anyone have the same problem as me with the official site - it seems that none of the java scripts are working, and that means that I can't do nothing actually :wenger:

Need to be able to play football as well though!

Anyway, that's not the point, he's just a kid, why risk giving him burnout? He's got a whole career ahead of him, and a very promising one too.

A lot of players when played too much too young quite often become injury prone, or retire very early. It's not worth it.
