Hope you're proved wrong though.

No midfield creativity, but a heck of a bite to it - is Keano really fit for this or are we going to see him struggling??

I know Ruud will be very hungry for goals, but with Scholes playing deep its hard to see him not being swamped. I guess Ole will have to try and move in and support at times, but he can hardly get on the end of his own cross can he? <img src="graemlins/annoyed.gif" border="0" alt="[Annoyed]" />

He's right actually. Europe is our main goal and we need to keep our best players fit. He has already played 2 games this week, one with travelling another under immense pressure. I can see why the decision was made.

not really a bad thing
i hope he doesnt need to come out in this match
(ie, we got 2-0 or 3-0 in hand) :D

Roy was almost fit to face Fulham so i imagine he'll be alright. Phil is in there so Scholes can think about attacking, and he has to. Ruud on his own might be swallowed whole by their defence. Let's hope the gaffer knows what he's doing.

More likely the 4-4-2 brigade.

But let's wait and see. Remember Remember, the 1st December. :D

sounds like an alibi to me. nothing is more important than a potential title-decider (if we lose), and against our fiercest rivals

Perhaps Fergie is trying to beat Liverpool at their own game i.e. sit back and wait ;) , they are bloody terrible when they have to control a game.

Europe is first on the agenda for SAF, against Real we'll need Becks good and ready, and he'll be useless to us in the run-in if he's bombed out.

I wouldnt, but I can see the manager's perspective.

So you shuddup. ;)

That's assuming you think Beckham is our best player. No-one else is on the bench who should be playing.

If you're right, why isn't Ruud there, or Scholes, or Barthez etc. etc.

If Beckham is on the bench, it's either because Fergie thinks he's been playing poorly, or because he's slightly unfit after Wednesday. It's not with Real in mind.

I think Becks is much more important in a must-win league home game against the dippers, than in a european first-leg in Madrid, where we don't have to break a 10-men defence in order to score.

Or then it could be because he wants to rest him, as Liverpool are not a very good football team at the moment and we should be able to beat them with our reserves.

Hamann & Gerrard

v

Keane & Neville

It ain't gonna be pretty, but it will have a satisfying crunch to it.

Scholes also played those games and he's playing, Beckham's picked up a knock I think.

Get Hyypia moving and he'll be fecked. Too slow. They will however crowd it this game and have a tight 10 man defence.

Pssst, it was Hyppia who got sent off, not Traore. And they're bringing on Biscan.

Make it 5-1.
