We appear to be now playing

----------VDS----------
Gaz---Pique--Mik--Bardsley
Ole----Rio----Giggs---Richardson
--------Rossi--Saha-------

What the feck?

Rio is being given the chance to prove he is Roy Keane.

Rossi continually makes his case for getting a chance in the Prem, perhaps in the Scholes MF role.

It's only a matter of time for Rossi.

Good to know Rossi is finding his confidence playing with the first team. If he keeps this up, he'll force his way at least on to the bench for Prem games.

Rooney's a forward, he drops deep at the mo because our midfield is shite

Sorry, I don't meant to go on.

Rooney plays deep, always has, always will, regardless of the state of the midfield.

In essence what you are actually saying, is that, in the future, we would have 2 forwards eg Rooney and Ruud with Rossi in behind them, what about the midfield.

I think the point you are trying to make, is that Rossi could play Rooney's role, i.e. just behind the main striker.

Burton might not be the strongest opponent, but Rossi played so well recently i wish he would get more chances in the League as well. Hopefully he will make it, really like his game, his vision and his cleverness. Probably a bit of an unfair comparison with Scholes, but both have a lot in common

So that's what Quinton F. is doing these days...

I want to eat, but can't, as the flame went off while I was cooking some beans, flooding the kitchen with gas for about half an hour and meaning I can't light the hob

Pique clears the ball like a spastic

Micro-wave?

It's a new thing, might not have reached the continent yet.

My point is that we've always played at our attacking best when we've had a naturally gifted goal scoring midfielder who can create as well as finish and I can see Rossi playing that role. Rooney can also play that role so yes, they can interchange through a match if necessary just as our wingers can switch wings and just as fullbacks can overlap wingers. It would improve our movement no end and stop us being as predictable as we have been for a few seasons. Of course, we need a solid defensive midfielder who will allow this to happen.

Rossi hits one straight at the keeper with defenders all around him
