Should have been more, we got to be careful in the 2nd half not to concede an early goal like we did last season.

Pompey were utter crap in that 1st half. We have played decent football and should have been at least 2 up.
Still, a goal for Scholesy and complete control can't be that bad.
Sending 9 men forward for corners is a worry, and on a couple of occasions we almost got caught by the pace of Lua Lua.

We are sending 9 forward? That is stupid
giggs and park have been excellent-i hope we start with 2 wingers in portugal but i doubt we will.

Good first half, midfield dominating - good performances from Smith, Scholes and espescially Park.
Would like to see us go 2-0 up before long though, Pompey look mildly dangerous on the counter...

Nonsence, he's physically slight, but alot of good players have been like that, Zola for example, the difficulty comes when theyre not willing to get stuck in or they are ineffective as a result of their physical stature, like, in my opinion, Fletcher.
Park's defensive qualities are pretty good today, I dont think he gets bustled off the ball more than Ronaldo.
His passing and knitting of things together at Upton Park last week really impressed me, I think he's at his best coming in off the left flank, not so effective today but still playing well IMO.
