Manchester United POTY awards 2015/2016

Or, you know, he's just a bit smashed and talked a bit too much as people generally do when they are smashed?

Some of you guys belong at the Sun

I'm probably as anti-LVG as it gets, but there's nothing wrong with the DDG quotes.

Personally I think Martial should have gotten it, with De Gea being a very close second. I think alot of people voted for him, with hope, that it shows how much the fans like him, that he`ll tie himself down with us for the longterm. Which unfortunately players honestly dont really care about fans in modern football

Because it would be great to enter a thread without seeing the latest preposterous example of lvg failings. There's plenty to hammer him with without resorting to a tabloid level of interpretation and outrage. It's amusing to watch, but irritating as threads are saturated with drivel. The site currently reads like a YouTube comments section

Well that's LvGs fault isn't it?

People who watched it thought it was awkward as feck and LvG was his usual fool, perhaps just watch it yourself if you don't want second hand information?

As sure as teenagers will call their parents embarressing there's a fleet of people on here who have to call out any criticism as soooo over the top.

I didn't even stop up this year to find out who won what. I actually found it uncomfortable that they are trying to celebrate a season of abject failure while at the same time little Leicester City were winning the PL. How much worse could it get? At least we aren't Villa, I suppose. I like most of you could do with a lift, keeping LvG and then on to Giggs is not what we need.

No, it's not LVG's fault. Threads like this reading like youtube comments section is due to posters whose posting standard is of the youtube comments section.

There's nothing to criticize in that clip and finding something says more about the poster than the clip itself.

It's just incredible to react like some posters here there is literally nothing wrong with any of it. Even in the good years with fergie the interviews are a bit awkward and cringey with players packed into some hotel conference room with pissed fans and too embarrassed to speak on stage.

Van Gaal lists a host of reasons why de gea may have went to Madrid but stayed at United and he's delighted that he did...it was what any manager would have said you absolute nut jobs!! You forget that the guy started the season on the bench to not mention the turnaround would be the embarrassing thing.

The more extreme anti lvg factions most pathetic attribute is without doubt, when his language and choice of words is held against him or para phrased. It's gutter level posting. As I said above there's a lot of reasons to hammer the guy, and discussions that need to be had about where we're at. This is simply not even close to being one of them  at least it's a good way of identifying the most base posters on here

Nice to Smalling getting the one from the players, for them this award must be really important and surely it's going to make him feel more confident at the club.

De Gea wasn't a surprise. Hope he still enjoys it (maybe not the part when he's interviewed in front of everybody...). Glad he has done it three years in a row!

And I wanted Martial goal vs Stoke to win the award, but I'm still glad it's Martial.

I dont see anything wrong with that interview at all.

Glad hes won it again and glad Martial got some recognition too.

LVG has been taking lessons from Geoff Shreeves there... De Gea being forcibly reminded at his own award presentation of how his beautiful girlfriend, all of his family, his beloved cat tiddles and his PS2 are all back in Madrid. Geoff would be proud.

Exactly.

Be nice to have some threads that don't just end in LvG bashing for little to no reason - blimey, De Gea WANTED to leave yet is loved by us all.

Not sure about Martial.
DDG, for me, was without doubt the best player in our team. Our only Galactico class player, which would get into the first team of 99% of teams in the World. I can't say the same about Martial.
Although Martials 9 league goals (which is actually quite poor compared to other strikers in our league) have been important, DDG's saves have earned us more points.

The truth is that the fans/crowd have turned against LVG. This means that they will pick at anything he says or does.
If he won us the treble and turned up to the POTY awards pissed, wearing pyjamas, the fans/crowd would love him.
It's not what he says which is drawing the vitriol, its our poor results on the pitch, which is the reason for the ire.
