Manchester United v Arsenal

I'm travelling from Iceland tomorrow for this game!

Bought the tickets in January and finally this weekend is just around the corner!

I've been to a United game twice before, and on one occation we won the league. That was at The Dell in 2000 when we won Southampton 1-3. The other game was at Old Trafford in 2002 when we won Newcastle 5-3.
So it's probably fair to say I've been very lucky with the games I've decided to travel in for, hopefully that will continue this weekend

Sorry, enough of the bragging!

3-2 , with Rooney, Ronaldo and Giggs all on target!

According to SkySports Arshavin has recovered from a virus and is expected to play.

Almunia is ruled out though, so Fabianski will once again step in:D

That's really something for the new signing: Playing in the 'Nothing to play for' game but pride (revenge) for the Club. They are not going to get any result! We shall win this one and celebrate at home!

Would say Arshavin on bench.Almunia being injured will do us no harm

Van der Sar
O'Shea Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Fletcher Carrick Anderson
Park Ronaldo Rooney
--
Subs: Foster; Rafael, Evans; Scholes, Giggs, Nani; Tévez

Just do it again, get it over with - 18, thank you very much.

Honestly i reckon SAF will want the title wrapped up before the trip to Hull - we have the UCL final the following Wed so having to play a game 3 days before a final in Rome would not be ideal, and if we do the job against Asnl SAF could send some of the big guns early just so they have time to adjust

My team for Asnl:
Foster
Rafael Rio Vidic Evra
Ronaldo Carrick Fletcher Nani
Tevez Rooney

Gone with Foster because SAF doesnt seem to play VDS when hes played 2 games in a week, Evans can come in for Rio depending his fitness.

we'll play the starting 11 that will face barca, as arsenal are the closest thing we face in the prem to barca's playing style:

----------------------------vds--------------------------
o'shea---------rio--------------nemanja--------evra
park----------carrick----------anderson-------giggs
---------------ronaldo------------rooney---------------

honestly, the team selects itself, the only question is on which flank park will start the game, and how far forward ronaldo will be pushed.

I disagree Sniggleton

------VDS
Oshea-Evans-Vidic-Evra
Fletcher-Carrick-Anderson
Ronaldo-Teveth-Roonrick

Hope United go for broke in this one,

when the title next week, go to Hull as da champions

Usain Bolt will appear at Old Trafford at half-time tomorrow and is meeting the players in training today -

Bolt helps United over Premier League finish line

By ROB HARRIS

MANCHESTER, England (AP) — The world's fastest man is helping the world soccer champions over the line in the Premier League title race.

Olympic triple gold medalist Usain Bolt will appear on Manchester United's pitch at halftime Saturday as the team goes in search of the point it needs against Arsenal that will clinch a third English title in a row.

United told The Associated Press that the 100- and 200-meter record holder is dropping in on a training session Friday.

While Bolt won't get to race against his favorite star, FIFA player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo, the Jamaican will be competing for the first time in Europe this year on Sunday in central Manchester.

Bolt will return to the track after his recent car crash by running a 150 meter street race.

Some people in here are writing off Arsenal. Do remember that they should have Arshavin back and have no pressure on them to even get a point. Stranger things have happened.

I reckon they'll line up 4-4-2 because Wenger won't be cautious, he'll want Arsenal to give the supporters something to sing about after a very poor season by their standards.

We'll match them too, can't see us playing 4-3-3.

Obviously we'll see Tevez, Giggs and probably Scholes at some point.

I'm concerned about this because the game is only two and a half days after the previous game, which was played on a heavy pitch. We all know what happened at home to Liverpool under similar circumstances. IF tiredness from Wednesday is not a factor then we should get the point necessary.

Fletcher will have something to prove and I'm looking for him to shine.

The Liverpool match was a blip. We just didn't turn up. I reckon the lads will be right fired up for this, especially knowing that they'll be able to rest the week after IF they get the point.

Why does everyone think it's going to be so tough and a draw would be a great, almost a miraculous result for us to get?

I mean, we outplayed them twice in Champions League recently, are in a great form and a far, far better team than them.

We're definitely favorites going into this game and I expect a good performance along with a good result.

Manchester United FC starting XI

Van der Sar
O'Shea - Vidic - Evans - Evra
Carrick - Fletcher - Anderson
Ronaldo - Tevez - Rooney

Adebayor - Van Persie
Arshavin - Fabregas - Song - Nasri
Gibbs - Toure - Djourou - Sagna
Fabianski

Arsenal FC starting XI

It will be tougher than in the Champions League Semi-Finals, but we're at home and our lads will seize the chance to become record champions of England at Old Trafford. I'm nervous.

'cos revenge might be on their minds. And last week against Chelsea if they had been any good at finishing they would've been 2-0 after 20 mins instead of 0-2 at the half.
I don't care how we play just get the point we need; another drubbing would be great though.

Well, we've been spanking Aston Villa year in year out for ages, they surely want to take a revenge but that doesn't make them capable of that.

just like the CL, ahead of time I never expect it to be easy against Arsenal. hopefully we'll all be celebrating tommorrow though.

Will we win the title in 20 hours time?
Ah, reading these lines alone makes me feel exciting! It must be the best feeling ever for those of us who supported United through the 70s and the 80s with Liverpool virtually dominating English football... and now we're potentially 18 hours away from our winning our 18th league title. I can't believe it.

Hit them the way we did in the CL, they absolutely couldn't live with us then. I think we'll score 2-3 goals if we go about it the way we did last time. Come on United, make it 18 please

I agree with this.
