Barclays Premier League
Manchester United v Arsenal
Monday, 13th December 2010, 20.00
Old Trafford, Manchester

Edited: Match KO is 20.00

It's been a long time since I was fighting for matchday threads, five minutes after Valencia game finished I saw that there's no thread for Arsenal so I decided to make it, I don't prefer those type of fights anymore, sorry nemanja15

Next threads are yours :D

If we go 4-5-1 I hope Rooney doesn't have to play wide-left.

actually both were created the same time.

But my thread was nearest the top of the page when they both had no posts and no views in them, indicating that it was made just after.

And no worries Maciek :)

Right, all out for this one, strongest side:

van der Sar

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Fletcher
Scholes
Anderson

Nani
Berbatov
Rooney

SUBS: Kuszczak, Brown, Smalling, Carrick, Park, Giggs, Hernandez.

7 - 1

--------------VDS---------------
Rafael-----Rio-----Vidic------Evra
Nani---Anderson--Scholes----Park
-------Rooney---Berbatov--------

subs: PIG, O'Shea, Smalling, Carrick, Fletch, Giggs, Hernandez.

Anderson must start, he's been great recently, plus he shits on Fabregas.

I'll be surprised if Berbatov starts this. Expecting a Nani Rooney Park frontline. You can't not play Park in a game like this.

Anderson Fletcher Scholes in midfield as well.

Team should be....

GK: VDS

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Fletcher
CM: Scholes
LM: Park

CF: Rooney
CF: Berbatov

Subs: Amos, Smalling, Carrick, Anderson, Giggs, Macheda, Hernandez

No idea what the score will be just hope we win

Any news on the worrying lack of defenders?

Not just Rio, but Evra, Evans, O'Shea, Brown and Neville?

Rio coming off was a precaution according to Sir alex at the end so hopefully hes fine for next week, got a full6 days to recover so should be ok, Evra and Scholes were training away from the squad yesterday so i half expected them not to feature tonight but again pretty much a week to recover.

We will have to score at least 2 becoz, unfortunately, we always concede.

.................VDS..................
Rafae.....Rio......Vidic......Evra
Nani...Scholes..Fletcher...Park
...........Anderson.................
............Rooney..................

Berbatov to come in for one of the 3 midfielders midway through second half.

2-1 to us, hopefully.

Is Ferdinand going to be out of this one?

Likely Arsenal line-up - Fabianski, Sagna, Koscielny, Squillaci, Clichy, Song, Cesc, Wilshere, Nasri, Chamakh, Arshavin.

Unlikely Arsenal line-up would include RVP and Djourou, although both would hardly hinder our chances.

Unlikely, Fergies says he was taken off as a precaution ahead of monday.

Going to this - cannae fecking wait!

Bit disappointed that we seem to have lost a lot of momentum from the Blackburn game - but we should be bang up for this, and with a fresh squad too.

-----------------------Van Der Saar---------------------

--Rafael-----------Vidic-------Rio/Smalling-------Evra--

--Nani------------Fletcher-----Anderson----------Park---

------------------------------------Rooney--------------

-------------------Berbatov-----------------------------

Subs: Amos, O Shea, Carrick, Giggs, Scholes, Hernandez, Macheda
Prediction: 1-0 Anderson

Oh did not see the 2007

Fergie said Scholes is a doubt for Monday.

That might not be too bad actually. Some of the big games do pass him by. A Fletcher Anderson Carrick midfield will be very good defensively and Anderson will help us move forward.

Scholes is a major doubt for arsenal according to SAF

To be fair the last few games at OT have been very close (Haven't they all been 2-1 recently? 2009, 2008 and 2007 were, can't remember before that), so I expect similar. Both defences aren't up to scratch but both teams are playing some excellent attacking football, hopefully we see plenty of goals and a United win.
